Rem Hostel

It's new, clean and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable and we got clean sheets. There were lockers for each bed and also a little lamp near the beds. Couldn't ask for more as a pilgrim. Very nice experience!!

The hostel is pretty new. A few steps from the main road, but not difficult to find. It's near the church. 
There's only one big hall with bunk beds, for about 40 people. 
There's a common bathroom for males and females each. Didn't have much privacy since showers are only separated by curtains. 
There's a microwave in the kitchen. You can wash and dry your laundry. 
The owner were really kind and helpful. Totally fine for an overnight stay. 


The Rem Hostel is a relatively new albergue for pilgrims looking for a nice place to spend the night before heading into Santiago. Located just one block off the Main Street, it is easy to find although you might have to ask for directions. The Rem is one of the more spacious albergues that I stayed in along The Way. Although the one dorm room is large and sleeps about 50 people, there is plenty of space between beds to be very comfortable. The woman who ran the reception was one of the nicest hospitaleras that I encountered in my month in Spain. She truly wanted to be of assistance to "her" pilgrims. At just 10€ a night, it was more than reasonable in relation to the average cost of a bed in an albergue. The showers and bathroom facilities are modern and clean with plenty of hot water. Plenty of eateries are little more than a block away including a pulperia  where I got some of the best octopus that I had in Galicia. From here, it was an easy 18 km walk the next day into Santiago.

New and clean hostel

Another Good Albergue Along The Way

Loved it

We booked online the night before to stay at this hostel for the following night while on the Camino. Although the booking website said the hostel was likely to be sold out for our night in question, this was not the case. There were lots of empty beds.

It is not well signposted, but we found the location with the GPS.

The hostel seems new, and the dorm was very spacious. Bunks were strategically positioned with a few thin curtains here and there so there was a little bit of privacy.

Beds were comfortable, with little block shelving and lamps. The lamps were necessary for lighting because in the night the main lights did not turn on.

There were no heaters in the dorm. There were plenty of blankets available the night we stayed, however not too sure if there would be a shortage if/when the hostel is fully booked.

We did not like the communal showers, no privacy to be had here, this was a first on the Camino. Nice to have hot water in the hand basins though.

As a hostel, we expected some cooking facilities. There is just a microwave. Eating utensils are provided and there is a fridge. 

The lady at Reception was very nice and welcoming.  Behind her desk was the kitchen sink and dishwasher, quite impractical as a kitchen setup.

We had a comfortable stay. However, with a full hostel, the noise level might be disturbing as there are wooden steps descending to the downstairs dorm.



Okay for a one nighter

This hostel must make a rule about silence time. the dormitory doesn't have any door So it 's very noise. I cannot sleep. I suffered first time this stuation on the camino. It is terrible. For walking, it's very important to take a rest and good sleep. But this hostel never consider about this. terrible! If you want to sleep well, never stay here
