The situation is exceptional, but above all the agility and professionalism of the perosnal.We were coming for a race and had no problem letting ourselves go to the shower once the check-out was done.These details should be taken into account.There is a kitchen with everything necessary.Filling and fruit included.It is a pity that I could not have spent more days in the city to enjoy it more and had to climb up the patio to get to the room where my knees are starting to fall apart.

I arrived around 6am and there was nobody there, since the hostel is designed as a traditional Andalusian building with a carmen (a garden with fountain in the middle with open roof" I was nearly freezing hoping that someone would come. And when someone did, instead of giving a customer/ guest a welcoming or comforting good morning, I was welcomed with "How did you get in? You're not supposed to be here!" and didn't even ask if I had a booking or so. There was a nice lady in the front desk though, absolutely lovely and helpful and welcoming contrary to the male staff. The dorm room was ok, heater provided, showers on the second floor were kept very well, There's also a nice small garden in the back where you can hang out or read a book. Buffet breakfast is ok, plenty of space in the two big refrigiratos too. The kitchen/ dining area can be converted to a working area as I used it. And upon check out, I was terrorised by that male staff again, I was just sitting around waiting for dinner time to go out and finally head to the bus station, I was sitting in the couch outside when the male staff kept on passing by and kept on telling me I should go and what am I doing sitting there, I genuinly felt attacked, discriminated and unwelcomed by that same staff that I left roaming around untill I found a restaurant outside and ate dinner for 2 hours waiting for the time to go to the bus station- because of this, I even left my food in the fridge.

Nice and welcoming lady staff in the day, horrible guy staff at night and early morning-

No need for any kind of detail.Both in the kitchen as well as bedrooms and bathrooms.In May I will be back both myself and my companions..a greeting from Merida.

It's a foolish thing to do.

First, the location is excellent, down a little alleyway, very close to everything. The people that work there are nice. There were a couple things that I didn’t fancy that would make me not go back. First, they don’t heat the hallways which you need to use while going out to the WC from your room. I noticed the French doors all opened in the hall that caused the coldness, I had to shut them myself. That should be routine for owners to shut the windows at night. Also, they have coffee and toast in the morning but nobody ever showed up to start it so we went out for coffee. When we came back, the coffee was percolating, maybe advertise what time the house breakfast starts? I guess I just like a bit more organization. But if you don’t care about the things I am mentioning, this may be a good hostel for you.

*This is the typical of Andalusian home with the Andalusian painted marble. The open area in the middle of the house is so nice like any other moorish style of home. Staying here will give you the feeling of turn back to Andalusian times.

A unique Typical Andalucian Hostel

The welcoming and friendly hosts, the colorfoul and fresh house, the central and historical location, the insence and andalus style, the peaceful and genuine mood, the complete and guest oriented service, everything was perfect in Al Karte. I will visit again and recommend to all friends visiting Cordoba. Nothing lacked.

MUST GO

Very nice place, charm and picturesque terrace. Friendly home, nice shared kitchen. Coffee and tea at will. The room was a little small, but comfortable bed. Very well located and quiet. I highly recommend.

It's a great place.

I loved Córdoba and el Katre contributed to that impression. It's a hostel that almost doesn't look like it. Individual bathrooms, clean bedding and a little more homemade breakfast. I highly recommend it.

Well, pretty and cheap.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful, close to most attractions, clean rooms and shared toilets, comfortable bed. Only issue is I booked an all female room. To my surprise when i woke up midnight, there’s a guy staying inside which made me very uncomfortable. Went downstairs but no one is at the reception. Didn’t complain the next day coz I’m checking out already so it’s really pointless to complain. Also there’s a lot of noise even past midnight. I understand those people passing by the streets coz you really cant shut them up. But i think someone was cleaning at midnight which is really disturbing 

Quaint hostel but had some issues with them

What a little gem this place is. So close to everything you want to see in Cordoba. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Facilities are clean, beds comfy. Lovely closed back terrace and very sunny roof terrace. Mezquita literally round the corner. Hammam really close by. Loved it.
