Casa Rural Plaza De Santa Maria

We spent five nights here in July and loved it! Beautiful house, rooms and courtyard garden with water fountain and numerous teraces with stunning views over the old town and castle.For once somewhere that looked even better " in the flesh" than in the photos. Our room (No 7) on the top floor was huge, quiet with good aircon and an attractive bathroom. Simple but adequate breakfast included in the price which we found very reasonable. (I think we were given a special price for a 5 night stay). Charming owners who speak virtually no english, but we managed to converse nevertheless! Cazorla is delightful and the Plaza de St Maria is in the heart of the old town. Descending from the B&B, turn left to the first bar serving tapas. By far the best bar in town, popular with locals and serving delicious tapas at 1€ each! Half an hours drive into the mountains and we were enjoying swimming in the river. All in all, a great place to spend a few days. Finally parking - we always found a space up the hill beyond the ruined church.
