Antiga Estació de Benifallet

We stopped here in our Motorhome for a free overnight stop in accordance with the Discover Espana publication because the cycling is just amazing. We sat outside the old station having drinks for a while and another couple told us we should eat there as it was a cracker of a restaurant. How right they were. We opted for the 3-course Menu del did at €10 including half a litre of excellent Rioja each. I cannot praise the quality of food, friendly service, presentation or environment high enough. My wife and I both had the best hake fillet ever. Large, beautifully seasoned and moist flaky chunks of fish. Great choices and there are also rooms to stay at very reasonable prices. Good for disabled access. Our final bill including 2 rounds of drinks outside before the meal came to just under 30€. We were blown away by this. You need to trust your sat nav for this one as the signage is not good and it is about a mile and a half up an unfinished lane. We shall visit in our travels again next year and push it to 2-nights.
