La Llar de Laura

I stayed here on the spur of the moment while driving southwards through Spain, with a view to exploring the Ebro Delta the next day. Laura, the owner, was very welcoming (she lives nearby, not on site, but is easily contactable by phone) and the room was very clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. The rooms aren't totally soundproof and the church clock chimes the hour - this which wasn't a problem for me but a light sleeper might benefit from earplugs! The weather was awful so the outside area and outside kitchen weren't in use, but looked like a lovely place to spend a warmer evening! Poble Neu is very small with limited options for eating and I didn't see any shops as such (it may be that shop vans serve the village), however there was a small Sunday market where you could buy bread, fruit and vegetables. The Ebro Delta is beautiful and teeming with birds so I plan to return to La Llar de Laura for a longer stay soon!
