For only one night the room was more than adequate, clean, big, with a balcony. The entrance was difficult though with the key not working properly, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. Overall nice and cheap. 

Awesome place for the price 

As others have said this is a pretty average hotel - average breakfast, security, and internet. We got an interior room but it was pitch black (and quiet) at night so we slept very well.

The internet didn't work for one iPhone but an android phone connected fine. Go figure. 

Breakfast is a little cereal (one type), bread and jam. There are packaged pastries but they were squished and no one wanted them. Juice, coffee, hot cocoa and tea. It's not bad. 
The best is location, it's easy to walk around or see/do anything from the hotel.

Average but nice enough

We were very pleased with the location of the room and the service.  Our room was spacious and clean.  We were on holiday with our dog and we were happy that she was accepted by Bilborooms.  
The breakfast is nothing to write home about but it was nice to have available.  

It's located in the old city centre but it was so quiet in the room itself that you wouldn't have known that.  There were many different faces at the desk, opening the front door for us (you leave your key) but all were friendly and professional. 

Quiet in a good location 

The hostal is located in Casco veijo, nearby there are several pinxto bars, as well as the 7 medieval streets, and the Bask museum and archaeological museum. The rooms are basic, make sure to bring your own shower gel and shampoo, as those are not provided. The internet is extremely slow and breaks down regularly. Further, the service is a bit hit and miss. When I arrived in the afternoon (4 pm) there was nobody to let me in, and no one answered the phone number we were given with the reservation. Luckily, someone did show up after about 1 minutes. Similarly, on the last day there was nobody when we left for breakfast, and left the key behind. 
Breakfast is officially included, but it was so poor, we decided after the 1st day, to go to one of the many local bakeries for breakfast.

Great location, but that is about it

Choose the hotel for a great location in casco vijeo and that is what I got. Plus the view on the streets and a small balcony.
The rooms are good for a budget hotel, the bathroom was really clean. Did not try the breakfast as they were not willing to prepare us sth day in advance as we had to leave a few hours before the breakfast time. 
They have 24h reception which is a great plus.
Good bargain. Would definetly return.

Great location

Not the easiest of places to find, big sign on 1st floor but ideal situation for old City. 24 hour service at desk, we had no problems coming and going. Great room and the breakfast  was adequate, you also get to meet nice people in the breakfast room. Would stay there again with no hesitation.
