We stayed here over New Years which meant the price was kind of expensive for what we received. Room seemed clean although I noticed small stains on my sheets. The sink in the room only had cold water however we pretty much had the shared bathroom to ourselves.
The worst problem was that the balcony door didn't lock, the hostel owner showed us how it locked and seemed to think I was dumb for thinking it didn't lock, but all it took was one good tug (from an average woman like myself) to slide open. Luckily the balcony didn't connect in any way to other rooms and was too high off the ground to be accessible.
The hostel is only ~15 minutes from the main section of Barcelona and ~25 from la sagrada so location is good, especially if you want somewhere a bit quieter.

Close enough to the express stop to the airport. Close enough to all the main attractions... There is Russian-speaking staff. The price of accommodation is quite acceptable... The first time we stopped in a room with no amenities. No more. But for one night is acceptable. At first glance good view from the balcony. But the location of the room is such that passing night motorcycles and cars from the corner create a sharp, unexpected noise, landing of a jet bomber.

Hotel for one night...

We chose this solution to visit Barcelona, a hostel with excellent quality price ratio,clean,educated and available.We had requested a room with bathroom, found a large room, 4 single beds, bathroom with shower box and air conditioner.Perfect.Optimal location to visit any area of Barcelona, without being confused. Metro and Bus nearby.

Visiting Barcelona

Central location, the rooms are a bit old and the beds uncomfortable, but they are spacious and have air conditioning and sink in the room. The bathrooms are common but always clean and rarely occupied. The lady at the reception is kind. The wifi is good. There is a refrigerator to cool the drinks. There is the elevator. Great for those who have no high demands and don't stay long in the hotel.

Good for those who don't have too many demands.

We stayed in the hotel, beginning June, the night before going on a cruise. The room was reasonable,.. reception friendly and helpful.
The lacation is however away from the main bars, restaurants and social attractions.
The aircon worked well, the room was clean, the free W Fi was terrable. 
Our biggest comlain is the noice. We were in a room on the first floor, facing the street. Impossable to get a reasonable night sleep.

Just not worth it  !

We stayed here for 5 days for the MotoGP as it's convenient for the bus station to the track. We had a major mess around with our flights, so despite them agreeing to let us drop off early, we ended up there at 10:45pm. They were very accommodating.

It's convenient being so central. It's clean. It's spacious. However, it's also tired, has limited space for clothes, and can be noisy at certain times. Also, the air-conditioning is high on a wall and no controller was supplied - so it's as good as not there. The shower is temperamental. And, the TV remote didn't work, but it didn't matter.

It's basic, but fills a purpose. We'd consider it again if returning, as it was somewhere to sleep. If you want more, this is probably not for you.

Plain and simple

It's a wonderful hostel, everything is neat and clean, quiet and very close to the center, the friendly staff explained everything and explained everything in detail, surprised by the room's laundry room, the quiet neighbors and the balcony with the fridge.

It's a great place to relax.

I stayed 5 nights here this week as it met my budget and location.  Its superbly well located and the rooms are clean. The beds comfortable, but the shared bathrooms outside always bothered me.  It is much better than other hostels in BCN where I stayed before. The staff is rarely there, but when they are are friendly and helpful. My room faced the street and it was quite noisy. You hear everything happening in the street below. Trash collection at 5 am,  loud passer bys etc. But then again the price is worth. At  40 Euros it met my budget and the superb location outdid itself.

Great clean place for the price,,but do not expect much !

Hostal is conveniently located within walking distance of the Cathedral and the metro (Urquinaona and Arc de Triomf). We have chosen it because of its good price and excellent central location. The room on the sixth floor in which we stayed is large, has a microwave oven, air conditioner, cups and breakfasts. The phone is available on request. We have heard the lack of some additional conveniences: television and wi-fi have not worked optimally, the furnishings are rather dated, the bathroom is very narrow, the cleanliness is improved, the electric sockets are very few.

It's an enviable position, but I'd need some improvement.

As much as you pay for treatment more than fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... rooms are clean enough, friendly staff and optimal location... stayed in April... also with the keys that are given to customers you can come and go and be independent to watch the departure and return times from the hostel
