Our experience consisted of very friendly priced beer and a plate of the patatas bravas. But those patatas, let me tell you, those tasty patatas really do stand out with their garlicky goodness, from frequent " slap some frozen fries on the plate with some sauce / they will eat it, we look like a decent place"  patatas I have tried in many fancier looking places around Andalusia. That is all. 

Oh and very friendly staff. Best wishes to this little smile factory.

It was a nice experience staying at this hostel, that is located in the very centre of the old part of the city. The price/quality ratio is very good, even though its a budget hostel so you cannot expect the best of the best. The room and bathroom were clean and it wasn't that noisy even though we had a room on the street side (but that also could be because we were there in February and not in the middle of summer). It was a bit chilly but we had a heater in the room so that made our stay more comfortable. All in all it was a nice experience and if you keep in mind that it's a budget hostel it's worth the stay.

Nicely located and cheap

Worth a visit just for their patatas bravas.

First the positives. The hostel is located in the historical heart of the city, just around the corner from the Mezquite. The building has a ton of classic charm and a small but comfortable rooftop. Rooms are very reasonably priced. Staff were responsive to requests for basic items and let us leave our bags at the desk after check out. The place has the potential to be great if the management makes a little more effort...

There is no kitchen to prepare one's own meals. They have their own bar that they want you to eat at, but it was closed. And having no kitchen cancels out the value of the cheap rooms for budget travelers because it forces guests to eat out for every meal. 

We seemed to have the hostel mostly to ourselves but we were still placed in a room that was extremely dark with a bathroom that was so tiny it was hard to even sit on the toilet (which didn't work very well). Our window let in almost no light and pond up onto a courtyard that was a popular spot for tour groups, so we had tour guides screening outside of our window from about 8:30am. In short, a pretty lousy room. 

Staff were polite enough, but it sorta seemed like they didn't really give much concern to their guests during the slow season. If you have an empty house, don't put your few guests in a bad room. Consider that it costs you nothing to put them in a good room and that you will get the benefit of a good review. Hopefully this advice is taken to heart and more regard is shown for guests in the future.

Just ok... could be great

We reached the hotel around 8:30. We were given a first floor room and the host immediately left and closed the office. She was polite. Our room smelled of smoke since the designated area was right outside our window in the courtyard so smoke flows right into the window. Wi-fi was lousy and our sons' room has a broken window pane. We left for another place and I returned the next a.m. to explain the problems. I was told I should have called the emergency #. We had to pay for one night and were not charged for second night. This hostel is probably best for people on tight budgets who don't mind these types of issues.

You get what you pay for

DON'T GO THERE. Those people dont take care of the client, their restaurant illustrate everything : Dirty, awful, not a single plate was home cooked (clearly the paelas are induatrial and reheated). The personal are not welcoming and again, the food of so poor level. only the tea was ok.
