The room and bathroom was nice and clean. Bedding provided for sleeping on the floor, which was surprisingly comfortable. The room has a heated floor. The shower was amazing! The courtyard is beautifully kept with outdoor games, seating and huge coicarp in the pond!

Reception were very helpful and always happy. Allowed us to bring food and drink into the courtyard, as the bars close in the afternoons.

I visited the hotel when I was in Gyeongju for inspection. I was so impressed and did not want to leave it. It is very beautiful Korean traditional house. It is quaint, boutique, local, historic and filled with the warmth of the host. Rooms are clean and spacious, the service personal and very caring. I totally fell in love with this because of its almostphere and coziness. A perfect place to relax and rest.

This was a great find. It was new and yet had a very traditional feel about it. The room was small however had sufficient space for 3 of us. The toilet was designed in the routine method and had no separate shower facility however was sufficient for a good shower with good water pressure and temperature. There was a cafe attached to the back of the hotel and we got a 1000 Won discount voucher on checking in. The most interesting part was that there was a small room with hanbok for you to try for free and you can take pictures on the grounds. You can also ask the staff to take one picture for you and they will print it out for you. The staff was very pleasant and helpful too. 

The rooms are spacious.  This was a traditional-style hanok, but we had the western-style beds (did not sleep on floor).  The hotel manager went out of his way to help us (call cabs, recommend restaurants, etc.).  It was very easy to walk downtown for restaurants.  The tombs and museum were also very close.  The KTX station is a 15 minutes cab ride away, and were able to take the train into Busan for a day.

Our family of four stayed at the HwangNamGuan hanok guesthouse in April 2016.  It was a wonderful stay. A delicious traditional Korean breakfast was included.  Taxis were plentiful but with this location, we walked everywhere, to the Cheonmachong Tomb, the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond (stunning) , the Cheomseongdae gardens, etc. It was spring so cherry blossoms lined both sides of the streets.  The hanok itself was beautiful in its traditional style and amazing architecture.  You can choose to sleep on the floor or request a room with beds.  We were in a very spacious 3-room suite with sliding partitions, complete with a modern bathroom.  Our kids enjoyed the free wifi. The hanok also has traditional korean clothing you can wear and pose for pictures at no charge.  Staff was helpful and attentive while limited English was spoken.  If we find ourselves back in Gyeongju, we will stay here again!

 I arrived around 10pm. The night view was so beautiful and people from hotel were so kind and they wore modern style Korea traditional clothes 'Hanbok'. I stayed one night in the room which has Korean floor heating system. It was small but good. There are several historical place around hotel about 5-10 minutes by walk.

Reasonable price & clean Korean traditional hotel 

This is a really beautiful place for a traditional hanok stay. Most of the buildings are brand new and the location is excellent, very close to the famous grave sites of Gyeongju. 

The room itself was rather small with no frills. Same goes for the bathroom, were you have no separate shower, so everything is wet (even the toilet) after taking a shower. The boiler in the bathroom was rather noisy and woke us up several times during the night. You have to make your own bed in this hanok: duvets are provided. We were disappointed that we couldn't try the breakfast, since the (also brand new) breakfast building was still under construction. 

Staff doesn't speak English.
