Probably the worst place I've ever stayed. Bad and slimey part of town and it's a "love hotel" but not marketed as such. Everything was old, run down, dark and dirty. Staff didn't speak English or communicate well. I could hear everything and felt generally unsecure. Bedding and pillows were hard as a rock and the bathroom smelt of smoke. Only plus side was no check out time and cheap.

You get what you pay for but worse

Best Western Premier Guro Hotel in Guro city is one of the best hotel that I experience during my travel to Seoul, Korea. Their services, food and overall hospitality were amazing, staffs were very helpful and friendly. I highely recommend this hotel for anyone who is travelling to Guro city.

오래된 호텔이지만 그만큼 아주 잘 관리가 되어있어요. 카펫도 새로 교체된 상태고, 위생적으로도 훌륭합니다. 직원분들도 친절해요! 씨티뷰라 건물들이 밀접하긴 하지만 크게 불편하지 않습니다. 합리적인 가격에 접근성도 좋아요.

I booked this hotel last minute while I was in Jeonju to spend an extra day in Seoul. 

Although they didn’t let me check-in an hour earlier as my bus arrived early, I hung around as they do not have a lobby. The building was also going through some renovation. I’m used to staying at hotels and this was only the second time they didn’t let me check-in earlier. However, the other time it happened, they at least had a lobby and bar to visit.

When I got to my floor and during my stay, I only heard 2 other rooms that were taken. Management at this hotel should loosen their check-in conditions a bit and be more understandable with international travellers who have no control over transportation, therefore they may arrive earlier. This kind of pissed me off as the male reception staff only said “no” which is kinda rude. I was on my 5th week of travelling in Japan and South Korea, and I had never experienced anything like this from somebody working in customer service. This male staff (he was wearing glasses) should get some customer service training.

Other than that, my room was clean. They offered free laundry in the basement which is very convenient as I had a bunch of clothes to wash. There is a gym which is a typical hotel gym but with a bit more dumbbells (up to 50lbs), 2 treadmills and 2 bikes, and a cable machine. No squat rack or bench press. No water fountain or mini-fridge. Nothing exciting but does the job. The gym is open from 6am to I don’t remember but with the code you can go earlier. 

Also, I have to add that it was extremely unpleasant to have a smoking room not too far from mine. It was the first room right after the elevator and therefore anyone who wants to get to their room had to walk past this smoking-room. In my opinion, smoking-rooms should be at the far back so non-smokers don’t get affected by the smell. This hotel needs to re-think their room configuration.

They have a restaurant on the 2nd floor called La Stella. I only had the buffet breakfast there which I paid 16,500 KRW when I checked in. The food was excellent, nice variety of food and eggs. Croissant was however hard as a rock. I didn’t eat it, pretty sure it could’ve break a tooth. Also, they need more fruits. They only had pineapples, oranges, and something else along with fruit mix from the same fruits. Overall breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend you eat there if you get the discounted amount if not, have breakfast elsewhere for cheaper.

This would be a 3.5/5 rating but I don’t have that option with TripAdvisor. I would return only if there is nothing else better.

I hope management from this hotel will read this review and take it as recommendations to their future guests. 

Recommended, but...

Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Location, location, location! Right next to Guro subway Stn. and airport limo literally right at the door step! Much better service compared to the near by Shilla Stay last time I stayed. The restaurant staff were just lovely and the breakfast buffet selection & quality were excellent. Will definitely recommend! Looking forward to its Four Points rebranding ☆☆☆☆☆

If you have business in this part of Seoul you can't go wrong with this hotel.  If you are from the US don't be fooled by the Best Western name.  This is not your typical American hotel.  Much more on par with a US Marriott or Hilton

Great business option in Seoul

This was my second time visiting Seoul and also my second time staying at the Best Western Guro.

Hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. Although the bar area is lacking somewhat.

Still there are plenty of bars and eating places within 5 mins walk.

Only other downside was the air con in room 1203. It seemed to be locked and would not lower the temp in the room.

Best Western not a cowboy place

This is an ideal hotel if you are visiting on business, the wifi is excellent in the room, and the desk is large enough to get on with work.   The bed is large and comfortable and the corridor is relatively quiet, it does get a bit noisier around breakfast but you can hardly blame the hotel for that. 

Breakfast is great and includes Western and Korean food.  It does not vary very much from day to day so for a longer stay it does get a bit repetitive.  There is someone there who cooks eggs for you, but I was never able to attract their attention.   Great view of the busy street outside which is great as Seoul an exiting place to watch even at breakfast.

Well placed near lots of restaurants so you are spoiled for choice in the evening.

Staff are friendly and helpful.

Good Business Hotel  - excellent WiFi

Great location of the hotel. Near to the hotel you can find metro station and supermarket. Additionally, around this area there are streets with several kinds of Korean pubs/restaurants - everyone is able to find his/her favorite one.The service is very kind and helpful. You can always get an assistance from the service desk if needed. Rooms are always clean (tidied up every day).Breakfasts are fresh and tasty, usually there are two types of food to choose - Korean style and Western style. 

Great place and hotel to visit

recently i stayed in very high standard hotel chain near this hotel. and i was very disappointed for the staffs. they were kind. i mean JUSK KIND. no smile. no warmth. BUT this hotel was totally different!! from the beginning!!  receptionist a girl was very naturally smiled for me. i ordered room service. it was awesome!! really nice taste and quick delivery with smily guy. and when i came sown for parking lot stamp, i met two more receptionists. their simple and touchable smile made me again. moreover room is very huge and clean with wonderful view!
