Overall I like the service and comfort provided by the hotel. Had two beds- Deluxe+1 twin room and the size of the room is pretty big which can accommodate 3 people with comfy beds. I wasn't expecting much from this hotel considering the reviews I read. I'm a deep sleeper, nevertheless, I requested higher floor with less noise and the very nice reception lady gave me a 6th floor room overlooking the empty pool. If I'm not mistaken this side is where the incident happened a couple of years ago but it's quiet and I didn't hear any music at all. I think it's the opposite side and the back that you may hear a bit of music. I was on this side of Seoul for the food and experience the Itaewon market but due to being a single traveler my selection of places to eat were limited to ramen, kebab, and burger... didn't even try my luck with the Korean BBQ places. As originally planned, I moved to Myeongdong which is more my vibe with lots of street food and more restaurants open to solo diners. I think the hotel could market this place as perfect for solo travelers by offering free activities such as food tour, free ice cream on certain nights , free alcohol on certain hours, etc--- Dotonbori Hotel, where I previously stayed in Osaka, is offering some of the mentioned activities which is also situated in the fun area of the city similar to this hotel. Overall, I was very satisfied and I will stay here again given the opportunity and not traveling by myself.
