A unique little B&B in a little known, but easily accessible little valley just outside Soul central. Really good food and really friendly owner.The rooms are basic, but clean and have everything you'd really need.

Had a great time!

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights, and found it a wonderful place to retreat to at the end of long days exploring the city. 

We stayed in the twin room with private bathroom, and found the trundle bed perfectly suitable for us even as a couple. The room was warm and there were heated mattress pads. The bathroom was small but clean, with fresh towels every day and reliably hot showers. 

Breakfast in the morning was a highlight - a different meal with 3-4 components every morning (e.g. soup, gimbap, dumplings, rice, kimchi, veggie pancake, fruit, etc). 

The immediate neighborhood is quiet and residential. 5min walk takes you to a small strip with shops and restaurants, including an excellent coffee shop, a dumpling place listed in our guidebook, tasty fried chicken, and even a large park where an hour-long hike up brings you to a hilltop with amazing 360 views of the city. 

Buses run frequently from the doorstep to the city center - 15min will bring you to Gyongbokgung, from where you can easily catch a train to anywhere else. We had no trouble getting around, and even made it back to the house sometimes in the middle of the day to rest.

Finally, Cindy was wonderful. Super friendly and accommodating but very respectful of space and privacy. 

We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next visit!

Homey, cozy stay

I have stayed here for one night , such a wonderful house with little space in front of the house for gossip and having fun. The host was so friendly and she co-operate in every way that she could. I love this place . 

Nice accommodation

The place was a good one even for a short trip of one night. Located in a quiet neighborhood of Buam-dong and one bus ride from major tourist attractions in Seoul, Cindys BnB is a perfect getaway within the city.

Quiet respite

exactly as it is shown on the photo set in a quiet, and nice neighbourhood. we get mountain view from both sides of the windows in the room. the house is easily accessible to downtown - the bnb is 5 mins bus ride to the gyengbokgong subway station - and six bus routes gets there and back regularly. a good number and variety of restaurants nearby. great hospitality from the host who provide helpful information. there is plenty of privacy.  overall super great value for money.  highly recommended for anyone who is interested to experience true korean style of living.  everything is good, and we had a very very good stay there.

Cindy's place is very conveniently accessible from Gyengbokung station by six different bus routes which runs regularly.  it is situated on a hill.  the neighbourhood is nice and quiet and upmarket. the surrounding area is nice and clean and tranquil.  there are no tourists in this area, although the blue house is in walking distance if you are willing to do it - about 15 mins' walk. there are restaurants nearby and a convenient store right at the bus-stop.  The room we stayed at is at the corner of the house which gives privacy, and nice view of the hills.   Cindy is very helpful and informative.  she is very eager to render help when needed.  you don't feel like you are staying at a hotel or b and b.  it feels like staying at a friend's place without the hassle of having to 'entertain' socially. the bathroom and the room is clean. we get plenty of clean towels. water is piping hot.  it is just exceedingly good value for money, and a very pleasant home stay.  i would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in experiencing the korean style of living.

Homey, blissful and convenient stay in a posh neighborhood

This is the best B&B I have ever experienced in South Korea. I have tried a lot of B&B in Seoul, including B&B in Gangnam, Hongdae and Seocho district. Yet, I revisit Cindy’s B&B for many times whenever I travel in Korea. 
From the decoration and design of Cindy’s home, you can know that the family here has a very good taste and high quality of living. As the house is located on the mountain, the air is so good that I feel like my respiration system is being purified. Cindy makes a variety of breakfast every day. From the food she made, you can feel that Cindy is operating the B&B with passion and sincerity. She even asked me if I would like to have my fried egg all cooked or sunny sided up. She pays attention to every detail to delight the guests. 
When it comes to the blanket, I see them washing the blanket even the guest just stay for a night. Cindy also let you have a choice of the blanket. When the weather is cool, she provided me with a thicker blanket while she also provided me with a thin blanket during summer. 
Frankly, it is very hard to find such a nice B&B host in Seoul. Cindy is very patient and willing to explain the tourist information hereby. After my stay in Cindy’s B&B, it is difficult for me to turn to other B&B because nobody can surpass the services provided by Cindy. 
Regarding the washroom, the toilet here is always clean and tidy. The window is large and allows you to have a garden view. There are many lovely stores in the district, such as flower shops, museum and bakery. Many buses pass by the area so you can always get on a bus to travel.
All in all, I experienced the authentic services and hospitality here in Cindy’s B&B. I highly recommend this place to all of you.

Best of the Best: Cindy's B&B

Cindy, the hostess is very friendly and helpful during my five day's stay, (April 23 to 28, 2018). 

She will provide information (map, direction, and others) everyday for me to plan my trip.

I also enjoyed Cindy cooking (breakfast ) very much.  It turned out the be the best Korean foods  I had during my stay in Korea.

The house is located in the hilly neighborhood.  The view is excellent.  I also took a hiking trip nearby to see the whole view of city.

Although there is no subway nearby, the bus service is just as convenient as it can be.

I do highly recommend this place if you want to travel around the city

Cindy is incredibly helpful! We loved staying with her and her mom. It felt like family for 8 days. Their house is in the mountain area and you can enjoy hiking in the mornings like many Koreans do. Poet's hill is a nice place to see the Seoul from the height and if you go even higher the view is breathtaking! At the same time you need to spend about 10-15 minutes on the bus to get to main tourist attractions.

Cindy's cooking skills are impressive. I would never trade them for breakfast in the hotel!

I highly recommend staying here and if you have any questions like I did before I went, Cindy is always ready to answer them.

Wonderful stay with a family

Stayed for 3 nights over the lunar new year holidays in Seoul at Cindy's place.. Highlight of our trip to Seoul.. Fresh korean breakfast each morning constituted the best meals of our trip in hindsight and we did go to some of the highly rated restaurants on TA.. CIndy herself was super helpful throughout our stay - picked us up at the bus stop the day we landed, was easily reachable pre-and during trip, gave extremely detailed instructions for getting to her place, generous early checkin on first day, suggestions as well as detailed instructions on getting wherever we wanted, daily room cleaning when we were out (nice surprise), ordering spicy fried chicken for us at home on our last night - just incredible hospitality throughout.. Was also very pleasant to meet her whole family on New Year's Day - her mom, cousin, brother and her adorable niece.. 

We stayed in an ensuite room, which was private and located inside corner of the house.. Was quite spacious for a family of 2 plus a baby.. Location of her house was good - easy enough to get to from the airport as well to go to tourist spots around Seoul - no access to metro which was clearly highlighted, but very convenient access to the bus-stop ~3min walking distance.. Her house is up a steep slope, so if u have a lot of bags/young kids, I'd suggest asking Cindy for a pickup (she was kind enough to offer pickup from Gyeongbokgung station) or detailed instructions for alternate walking route from the bus-stop close to her house (there's a slightly longer walking route up a gentler/easier slope)..
