Once we got used to the area (located in an area full of alleys), the place is actually very strategic... within walking distance to many tourist attractions (e.g., Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwang Hwa Mun Square, Insadong, Bukchon, Tongin traditional market, bus stop to airport, MRT station, ++). Hostess and family members speak English, are very helpful and friendly. The room is modern, well heated and super clean....My daughter, grand-daughter n myself had a great time in a week stay there... Highly recommended for travellers who like to explore Seoul.

a clean BnB with taste of Korea

I am very happy to have stayed 3 nights in this absolutely lovely place. The rooftop apartment is modern and bright with comfortable bed. No need to worry about keys, you get your personal code to get in and when leaving the door locks automatically. In the toilet your bottom will be happy to sit on a heated toilet seat. All is really well thought out. Jin is the best hostess, so very kind and helpful. I enjoyed our talks during breakfast and the walk she took me around the interesting neighborhood. I felt as if I was staying with a friend and much preferred this to an impersonal hotel.

Absolutely lovely

This B&B locates in an area with lots of delicate cafe, restaurants, zakka shops, traditional Korean houses. 12 mins walk from subway station, but very easy to get local bus to commute. The owner is friendly and patient to answer my endless questions.  Will definitely go back when there is a chance. 

Clean and Friendly

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The host, Jin, is so kind and she is very proud of her neighborhood, and rightfully so. She takes the trouble to give you a map with her favorite restaurants (all the ones we tried were excellent!) and sights, some of which we might have bypassed if she hadn't told us about it - like the Pak Nosu Art Museum around the corner, and the wonderful Suseong-dong Valley up the street. The top floor suite is very comfortable, with a great view of the mountains. Everything works well and it is tastefully decorated, with attention to detail. She even invited us to come to a ceremony with her, to bless a home under construction, being built in traditional hanok style. A very special experience. If you want to be in the middle of a wild, party atmosphere, this is not the place for you. But if you want a more authentic, "old Seoul" experience, with excellent food and personalized service, you will love this place. But many of the major tourist sights are close by, and the subway is a 10-minute walk and a fast ride to other parts of town. Highly recommended.

Wonderful guest house, great neighborhood, lovely host

This is a very good guesthouse. The room is very big, comfortable and clean and everything works flawlessly. It also has very good noise insulating windows, if you are a light sleeper. It is not a noisy neighbourhood but the residential houses are close together. The owner will make you breakfast every day and help you with everything you need, and she is also very pleasant company. She and a friend of hers took me to a furniture museum and later to a restaurant and bar where they introduced me to some local 'specialities' (bugs). I had a great time.
 
The neighbourhood is crammed with restaurants and cafes and there is a food market and a supermarket 5 mins walk away. It is completely non-touristy and a Korean version of a gentrifying neighbourhood (in a good way). The public transport connections are good with a local bus going to the subway, which is useful if it is pouring, or you can walk in 7 minutes.
