Show Motel

This is one of several so-called "Love Hotels" behind the bus stations in Gyeongju. They all look snazzy with plenty of neon lights and kitschy room design. Reception was strange with a blackwashed screen and just a small hole for exchanging money for keys, with no eye-contact with the receptionist. The room however was pretty good, large and with nice furniture and a (broken) jacuzzi in the bathroom. There were condoms and lubrication on the bedroom table but also two free bortles of juice and three bottles of water. Wi-fi was excellent throughout. There was no breakfast on offer but plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. First they gave me a room that smelled heavily from smoke but they changed it immediately when I complained. I think the place is excellent value for money. And, like me, not only lovers seem to stay here. I spotted one or two families as well. I could stay here again, with or without a female companion.
