My mom and I stayed at White Castle resort the Fall of 2013.  It was off peak season so area was very quiet.  The owner was very generous and helped us order some traditional Korean meals and also coordinate a taxi to drive us by the shoreline for the spectacular sunrise the next morning.  The room was very clean the view was very peaceful.  The gardens are very pretty and the gardener was also very kind to us.  I'd definitely recommend this place to others and would definitely come back if I'm back in the area.

My husband, two children and I stayed here for one night in our first ever road trip down the East cost of Korea. We hadn't pre-booked but this was not a problem as there were lots of free rooms. The room cost us 90,000 KRW and it contained a double bed, a single bed and a floor mattress bedding. The room was well equipped with a kettle, fridge, creams, hairbrush, toothpaste. It had a huge television, pull-up bars in the window (randomly!) and, my favourite part, a huge bubbling jacuzzi in the bathroom. I would stay here again, but it is pretty remote and does not have any facilities to make the extra effort worthwhile. The guy at reception was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is beautiful from the outside and clean from the inside. The owner is such a kind and helpful person! He made everything happen for us. 

Still it is a bit special. We had red light in our room (ok, white light too). The rest is imagination. We also had a fantastic whirlpool which made up for the red light. The room itself was clean and spacious. So do not get distracted by the worn carpet in the corridor. 

The restaurant was closed since months hence neither dinner nor breakfast. 

The location is special too. Somewhere in nowhere, neither at the sea nor in the mountains but both are very close. So if you want to ski at daytime and see sunrise at the beach next morning this is your place to stay (if you have a car). It is quiet and still convenient to get to (by car). 

Would I come here again? Definitively yes and I am looking forward to that!

A special place with pros and cons

We booked this on line and we had booked 3 nights.  After the first night we left and booked a hotel on the beach.  This place is old, and in need of remodeling.  It is so far away from anything.  We didn't have a car and it took 25 minutes to get anywhere.  we could not turn the AC on and it was sweltering and stuffy in the room.  I can not recommend this place under any circumstances.
