I have stayed in this quest house many times. Have received excellent service. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and look inviting. Towels are supplied.Coffee and tea facilities, fridge, wifi and room service. Food is scrumptious. Parking is safe behind gates and electric fencing.

It was amazing. Stayed in cottage 3 and oh the luxury! There’s a big tub! Really relaxing. The kids also enjoyed the place. Will be sure to stop by next road trip!

17 on Bird Guest House was an absolute gem. Hospitality was excellent, rooms very modern and perfect for an over night stay with family of 4. The pool was a bonus to cool down in 43 degrees.  The food quality was a disappointment and prices for softdrinks a bit steep. But other than that really enjoyed our stay

Lovely stay as always, we've stayed there twice now as a stopover and will book it again. Highly recommend.

Was good to pull in after a long drive from Pretoria and come to a friendly , clean and comfortable place for a good nights rest. Dinner was excellent, check in and check out seamless and all round service good. Will certainly go back.

Stayed for one night - comfortable family room with good facilities. Good choice at breakfast, with freshly prepared cooked food.

We have stayed here before and is our preferred place to stay in Beaufort West.  It's comfi, and nice to be able to order a quick dinner or breakfast. They have a generator which is great to know after a long drive when things need to be charged. They are also pet friendly which we need from time to time. Great place!

Over Night Stay with Family from Pretoria to Cape Town

A Refreshing Stop Over

It was like coming into an oasis when we arrived at 17 on Bird guest house. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We pre-ordered our meals which was to be sent to the room. 10 minutes after arriving we got our meal still nice and hot. Brilliant service. It is also pet friendly with enough lawn for the pets.
The rooms were nice and clean. 
I will definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Review of 17 on Bird Guest house

This is the 3rd time I've visited and each is more pleasant than the last. We stay here when traveling between Cape Town and Johannesburg. They organized meals in the cottage since we were running behind schedule and arrived after dinner was served. Comfy touches such as electric blankets to stave off the cold, a cot and heater to warm the room. I really love this place! The enclosed garden at the back ensures that kids have a safe place to run around while parents can relax.

Staff very friendly, the room was comfortable, bedding clean.  There was only a shower in the room, but I'm sure some of the rooms might have a bath if you'd prefer. It's good for overnight stays,  they do serve breakfast and dinner at extra cost. There is a swimming pool on the property as well for warmer days

Beaufort West as a place has little to recommend it - apart from the proximity of the Karoo National Park and the Museum that is largely devoted to commemorating the birth and life of Christian Barnard. It is a place to stay overnight while one breaks-up a long journey to somewhere else: a 2-night stay is more than enough. Having said that, the Guest House appears to be one of the better accommodations in the town; it is centrally placed, a number of sensible rules, a pleasant internal vista and appears prosperous.

Left Cape Town a day earlier than planned and booked in last minute. We arranged late arrival and ordered a meal from the menu via WhatsApp. We arrived and we had a very warm welcome, our meals were in room and we could use the Microwave to heat it up. Both the meals were delicious. Great last minute booking and will stay there again.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage as we had dogs with us. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We even had a delicious dinner brought to the cottage, which was old fashioned with wooden floors and the old charm that one expects. The only thing I'd change is to have some grass in the back garden, and not just stone. Would definately stay again.
