33 thornhill road is a great small boutique Bed & Breakfast (charge for breakfast) and really nice served on deck outside or pool side.

2 parties have posted wedding photos- THEY wHere at another place with similar name, DIFFERENT ADDRESS

Beautiful garden wedding plus reception. Upon arrival there was a bar with nice cold drinks, where we waited until the wedding ceremony. After the wedding rites, the bar was laden with different kinds of gin from the best regular to the blue and pink. To go with this there was the tonic regular and the pink and blue. Dinner venue was beautifully lit with good food, service was excellent! After dinner dancing was inside where they had the cake cutting and then served with coffee and tee.

I rented all of the rooms at Nooitgedacht Guesthouse for 6 students studying abroad for 3 weeks. And I (professor) stayed in the Cockoos Nest studio flat. We had a fabulous stay as our host and her daughter were welcoming, available for questions, suggestions of places and had lots of local information. The french press coffee was perfect and I had equally perfected pouched eggs one morning for breakfast. Housekeeping service twice a week was a nice inclusion and coffee/tea was refilled then and also on request. We enjoyed a dip in the outdoor pool each day when we returned. I loved the coockoos nest flat, everything I needed with a fully functional kitchen, gas top burners for cooking and making coffee, a toaster, coffee/tea service, plus many bathroom amenities and towels. The shower having two sides glass blocks was fun and bright. Everything was designed with clean lines and good storage spaces. Besides a comfortable bed, it had a center island/stools for eating/food prep, desk/chair, couch which folded out to double bed, TV/ entertainment/storage unit. I easily cook for 6 students and had dinner/discussion with plenty of room. Our hostess was open and receptive to helping me with large enough pots to cook for all of us. (otherwise everything needed for 4 is available)
I can't wait to go back and hope it is available my next trip to Cape Town.

Stayed here after a wedding which was ideal situation.
Room is spacious although the locks are old and take some work.
The hairdryer was broken but replaced quickly. Breakfast was a delight infront of the manor- and vegetarian requirement was met quickly without eggs! 
Breakfast and departing is a set time, and there are only 4 rooms all up. But a sweet little stop over for a night

After the wedding...

Garden wedding

visit for 21 days Feb-March 2017

Went here for a family wedding and on arrival it definitely has the wow factor! However, there were countless problems. The bridal breakfast ordered contained mushrooms, even though it had been stated very clearly via email that the bride was very allergic to mushrooms. However, at this point we we were too excited to complain so we just carried on getting ready. As we were getting the bride ready we were interrupted to say that not enough flowers had been ordered. We dealt with it and carried on. Then 5 minutes before the ceremony the bride was told the bar tab hadn't been paid and the wedding wouldn't be going ahead. We told them to ask the groom who confirmed it had been paid well in advance and to check their emails. They checked their emails and found the payment..... 
After this problems continued and during the meal they ran out of wine?!?! And all the vegetarian food contained mushrooms so the bride couldn't eat. Finally, the coach they told us to order, collected us to take all the guests back safely but whoever this man was he clearly wasn't a coach driver! He took over 3 hours to get people home and got lost, dropping several people off very far from their hotel. Not sure how much of this is the venues fault or that of the wedding planners but I wouldn't go here again. 

Beautiful but poor wedding venue

It's beautiful but I have seen nice farms it is lacking character but stunning views and the mountains are old and so are the trees ! Lovely wedding function and we happened to see a wedding while we visited !
