Drakensview Self Catering

We just loved the look and feel of the farm, with amazing mountain views and a lovely garden to sit and watch the great views. The unit had ample space and had all we needed with daily cleaning. We also loved the play area for kids. The farm was also just a short drive from Winterton town, from which we could explore all sections of the Drakensberg.

The place was so clean, green and lush with amazing views. The unit had all the amenities you needed. What we loves most was the kids play area and an expansive lawn for them to play. Our child loved the place and we couldn't be any happier. 

We stayed here on a trip to Durban to break up the journey with our young kids. The host was so friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had everything you need for a stopover. The play area was great for our son. The view was lovely too

Fantastic location, extremely clean, great linen.. good value for money.. views are amazing! The place is simply immaculate and very quaint... it’s also close to the sale yard steak house which is a great place for dinners

These self catering units are super neat and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The host was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome.
These units are on a farm just outside Winterton, centrally located with an amazing restaurant just up the road. 

Me and my partner visit for 3 nights. Its a lovely little place, with self catering, TV, comfortble bed. Only missed some stuff in the kitchen like to rinse water from pasta, and other cutlery’s . 

It’s sheep, cows close by and pets like cats walking around. It’s close to Winterton and to the drakensberg (hikes, chocolate tasting, cheese tasting, beer tasting and adventures like water sports, and smaller adventures at resorts you can do day visit at). 

We really enjoyed our stay and recommending it to everyone, especially couples and older couples, wouldn’t say it’s the best place for kids (a playground in the yard who is pretty small..), so more of a Romantic spot for Two.

Quiet, private, serene, peaceful, clean, photogenic. Fresh air. Friendly host. Quick access to Drakensberg. Affordable. Self catering option is good since there are shops in nearby Winterton. In the middle of tourist attractions.

Very close to Winterton, Drakensview Self Catering proved to be the ideal place to stay on our way to another resort further south. On arrival, we saw our names on a board requesting we go directly to our room. Shaded parking is separate but close to the rooms, so carrying your gear is no big effort. There are three rooms, all with a lovely view towards the mountains.The room itself was very comfortable, with a larger than expected bed and, if required, a bunk bed. The kitchenette had everything we required, and snacks, softdrinks, beer, wood and charcoal were available to purchase if needed. Each room has a private patio where we were able to sit a watch sheep and horses in the neighboring meadow, as the sun set. We appreciated the relaxed attitude of the owner, who only popped in once to see if everything was ok.  

My wife and I spent our anniversary at Drakensview and found it to be an extremely warm and hospital venue. 
Valita was really professional and accommodating. The sheer peace, and tranquility was what appealed to me, not to mention the awesome view of the mountains.

Absolutely Horrible Place is up to no good the owners (valita klopper) attitude stinks she needs to get out off the hospitality industry with immediate effect.
 Self check in to a place that has cracked walls cracked tiles dirty shower and mud all over the walk ways.Paint peeling off.Wifi but not working.
Entrance is in a state off disaster overgrown trees road is terrible. (OWNERS EXCUSE IS 120MM OFF RAIN ,NONSENSE) 120 MM OFF RAIN DOESN'T CRACK TILES AND WALLS.GO TALK KAK SOMEWHERE ELSE VALITA KLOPPER.AND GET A REAL JOB STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.
DON'T GO THERE IT'S ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
