Lovely place everything clean, decor is new and space is functional, management very responsive and are ready to serve. 

Small kitchen area, comfortable double bed, car port.

Would love to stay there again.

One of the cheaper accommodations in town. Due to the location - next to the gas station. Anyway, worth the money

I stayed here for over two weeks for work, the place is exactly what you need for the price. It's clean; simple; cute and quiet. The owners are incredibly helpful and sweet, aircon and DSTV was a plus! If your looking for a comfortable place to sleep while your out all day seeing the town and mountains this place is perfect! It's definitely not a hotel but it's not trying to be, this place is perfect for a little bit of comfort while your on the road. 

I would happily stay here again

I read a previous review about Swartberg Cottages which worried me prior to our arrival.  It claimed that the cottages were in the wrong end of town.  Does Prince Albert have a wrong end of town?  The whole place is beautiful.  The front does look a bit industrial.  On arrival there is a garage but once behind the security gates - there is sheltered parking for your car and two large friendly four footed car guards.  Our hostess Elise was very friendly and accommodating.  The chalet had full DSTV, aircon and a braai area outside.The bedding was crisp, new and fresh.  The entire cottage was very clean.  The price was R250 per head and we were given a discount.  While this was no means the ritz it was also no way the pits and would gladly stay there again

Well Done Swartberg Cottages

Delighted

Worth the money

This accommodation is clean and tidy and more suited for a couple or a single person wanting to overnight. More affordable than other places in Prince Albert. For a family it is a bit of a challenge staying here as it is not so private with front doors opening into the parking area. Not all cutlery was available. A bit cramped and situated in the more industrialised part of town. However, very friendly service.

Prince Albert visit

We stayed in one of their new Garden Rooms in the back. At the price, this is an OK place to stay, The bed was very hard. The room was big, plain, and clean. No heat in the bath - brrr. Window in bath would not close. Tepid water temp. No cover on door glass or the window over the door.

Basic Cotteges

The most awful accommodation ever ! Dirty doesn’t begin to explain it so I took photos . Used plaster in shower , old bars of used soap on shower floor and stained pillow cases. Don’t use this place ever! I believe we were put in unclean staff quarters as this is what it looked like . They also had 2 dogs and dog poo outside our 2 rooms which I had to remove . Filthy

Dirty accommodation and poor value for money

One visits Prince Albert for it's charm, tranquility and beautiful surroundings. You will not find it here. Very clean with everything you need for one night's stay, but it's located in a industrial looking backyard and the management lacks some professionalism in how they treat guests.
