Called Duma lodge and spoke to Pumla and hour before I showed up on Christmas eve after being forced to leave the place I had booked initially.. When I explained my problem she was calming and told me not to worry, 3rooms were booked and secured..An hour later Mariola and Mirek welcomed us to the lodge and took care of us for the next three days.. This really was a family business that takes care of everyone like they are family

Called an hour before I showed up Christmas Eve as the place we had booked for the week disappeared, and Pumla assisted me as they had place. Mariola & Mirek are wonderful hosts and all the staff take care of the guests.. Will definitely be returning here in the future

We were truly rescued by the Duma Lodge owners (Mirek and Mariola) when our car stopped in the middle of the road on our way to Kruger.
They took us in, made us feel at home, and managed to fix our car without asking for any money!!
We had the best times, the rooms are clean and cosy, the parties were true fun and we are forever thankful for saving our trip!

Our group of six friends stopped here on our way into Mozambique from Joburg.  Despite arriving mid power cut (in the area) we were able to check in and get drinks and a really good meal without any problems. The staff and other customers made us very welcome.  Rooms fairly basic but have everything you need and breakfast also good. Definitely worth a stop if in the area. 

We went to Duma lodge for a long weekend away as a group. The resort was kind enough to reserve the whole lodge for our group, the staff were exceptional, very friendly and forthcoming. The food was hearty, and very well prepared. The bar and pool area is very inviting. Overall a nice abd pleasant èxperience. On a negative side, proximity to the highway is good and bad...your call there

Visited this place Friday and Saturday (November 30th and December 01)room 6, The scenery is beautiful, the food is very good. the used to be white bedding and towels are very old and cream  and stained.the bathrooms are a story for another day. both nights had a group of people who were making this horrible noise after 1am. This place is just a tarven with accommodation 

The staff was friendly but the owners/management was rude. The place needs some paint here and there and better lighting. If you do not drink alcohol and you want to sit by the pool be prepared to be told to leave the area because you are not supporting the pub. The pool was dirty and the dogs were drinking from it. I'd rather sleep in a car than go back there.

Could have been better

The rooms are average sized and are adequate. There is a fridge and flat screen tv and 2 desks to work on.The rooms were clean and fairly basic but acceptable. The staff were efficient and the chef most accomodating and pleasant.

Not a bad place to stay overnight

Rooms are very clean and cosy. Staff is friendly. No sunbeds are available at the pool area. Choice at breakfast is limited. Kitchen is excellent value for money. WIFI is not available in this lodge. Be aware of not sober female owners and wild evening parties at the bar.
