Wonderful guesthouse with exceptional hosts, Bennie and Elizabeth go the extra mile to ensure a perfect stay.  Charming old home with modern comforts, extremely clean and attractive.  Breakfast in the main house is out of this world, with Elizabeth in attendance and the most divine spread.  Secure parking for our classic MG and we only wish we could have stayed longer. I stayed here completely by accident, after my car got stuck on the pass between Ladismith and Calitzdorp.

My stay was a pleasant surprise to an otherwise unpleasant interruption in my travel plans.

The accomodations are quite nice, but what really stands out is the couple that owns the house. They are incredibly nice and really went out of their way to accomodate me, even when I was showing up without a reservation in the middle of the night.

I would definitely recommend staying here if you are traveling between the Garden Route and Cape Town. It is a convenient spot for a stop and a great place to stay. And there is plenty to stay in the area if you want to sight see around there.

Oh and the breakfast is outstanding!

Elizabeth is the perfect host, from the moment we arrived she couldn’t have been more helpful. We stayed in the Coach House which was lovely. Good WiFi, Dstv and really comfortable bed. Safety and security is not a problem. Parking is secure. She reserved a table at a local restaurant for us. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast, the bacon in particular was excellent.  

A great welcome from Bennie and Elizabeth started our wonderful stay in this charming old manor. We felt very welcome and enjoyed a great evening with our gracious hosts. The house is very well kept and we felt really at home! The rooms are beautiful, very clean and have nice beds. This is really THE place to stay !

We were welcomed by Elizabeth upon arrival after a hot, long day along Route 62 and shown around the beautiful well maintained old house. The house was so lovely and cool, the bedrooms neat, clean and beds a delight to sleep on. Nothing seemed to much for Elizabeth. One has access to the lounge, a large fridge to store your goodies or freeze your stuff for the next part of journey.

Breakfast was as I had expected from the Klein Karoo hospitality - hearty, fresh, full English and/or continental. 

Elizabeth, thanks to both you and your husband for such a lovely break. We really hope to return.

What a wonderful welcome from the hosts, Ben and Elizabeth and it only got better. We had great rooms in this old historical building with so much old world charm. We enjoyed it so much we did not want to leave. The whole experience was rounded off with a great breakfast.
