If you find yourself in Kuruman and in need of accommodation, look no further than French Blue. A pleasant surprise awaits ... the rooms are super cute + neat. Perfect for a stop over or if you're doing business in the area

Check in was nice and quick. The property is small and requires prepayment so best to book in advance ... having said that we were lucky enough to get space whilst driving through.



This location is perfect for a business trip or just to stop over for a night or two. 

Remember this is the Northern Cape and you wont have your seaside views or mountain views from the rooms. If you require tranquillity, then this is it! 

Two rooms on site, (a smaller room with a  double bed/ shower a bachelors type room with a cosy dining area if you will). 
The second room is much bigger with a lounge, a beautiful kitchen, bedroom and an armchair on the stoep for you to sit and unwind. These rooms are beautifully decorated, with all the amenities you require.

A sweet little lady will come around every day after you leave, sprinkle fairy dust, and your room will be spotless on your return!

This location is close to the shops, restaurants and the main road, but far enough not to hear the hustle & bustle of the daily traffic. Oh, and there is a  shopping mall close by. Not kidding.  Be careful when you're driving as their are a few potholes on the road.

The hostess, Alet,  is very friendly and the sweetest person on the planet. Its always a pleasure to stay over at French Blue. Safety Gate controls/ key provided on arrival.

They have free wi-fi in the rooms-with a solid connection! Always a plus for me.

Stop over,  you will leave there feeling revitalised!  Promise

Kuruman is not a great a place to stayover; however, French Blue offers you a clean, neat and tidy and restful place to relax. It is a located in a quiet suburb yet only 500m from main road. The main unit is spacious with greater floor size than most high end hotel units.  Both units are beautifully decorated in vintage/modern vintage/french style. Self catering amenities were top class .
Alet is a friendly and exceptionally helpful host.  Ask her to direct you anywhere in Kuruman, as well as the best places to get food or a decent meal.  

This very tidy and clean venue is perfect for a tired traveler , small but  adequate and very pleasant , well kept venue with an attentive owner and very pleasant service , the area is quiet run down due to lack of investment by council and many potholes on roads , but still Avery beautiful part of South Africa. The "eye" is the main attraction ( an exit point from an aquifer )

Pleasant Surprise 

The Little Hidden Gem with self catering and a solid free wi-fi signal!

Great " little " spot for a stop over 

Great inexpensive place to stay; neat and tidy. 

We had to postpone our trip for a year, because our friend got injured and had a medical certificate.
We wanted to book for the following year and she said was closing down french blue.
Only to find a year later that French Blue is still open and that it was on the same road a a place we booked at.

So she lied and stole our money.
