Had a beautiful stay at the chalets with my family, friendly staff and they were literally just a WhatsApp or phone call away. Excellent service and beautiful and clean accommodation!!


Peaceful and the visibility of the security excellent.Already planning my next visit with my family next year God willing but would like to spend at least two weeks at the resort because I sincerely love the place

It's been one of the best camping resorts we've been too. Very clean and classy restrooms, very nice laundry room. People are friendly. The security staff were friendly and alert. The beach self was constantly kept clean and felt safe and wasn't far from the camping area. The view was spectacular at all times of the day. The sea, mountains, lights in the distance - beautiful. We felt refreshed and relaxed. Can't wait to visit again in 2024!

We had a Seaview plot which was totally awesome. You can keep an eye on the kids while chilling on your plot. Weather was a bit off but still had a fantastic time. A bit of 4 seasons for the week that we stayed. Service was good. Bathrooms was always clean. Security was friendly and reliable. This was out second time camping and will definitely be a third. Thank you to all... we as family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 

Oh, the view! And falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The sites were mainly occupied with pensioners and was very quiet. Friendly neighbors and helpful. The grounds were monitored 24 hours and very safe.

De Bakke Santos is a wonderful destination if you wish to host an event. They are very accommodating, and the self-catering chalets are very efficient and has most of the cutlery and accommodations needed for an extended stay. It is in close proximity to various shopping centers, offers an amazing view of the ocean and has very friendly staff of their premises. We as a family had a wonderful time at the resort. 

A lovely clean resort. All staff very friendly and helpful. We loved the sea views and the walks straight from the resort onto the beach. The chalets were fully equipped, no need to bring anything but your clothing, eats and drinks. Oh and dont forget your cossies in the summer months.We will definetely be back later this year.

We managed to find a seaside stand towards the end of the holiday season. The big rush has past and we had most of the camp to ourselves. The weather was excellent and the sailing and fishing was to die for. Thanks to all the friendly staff.

Just fun and more fun.We also rested well. The weather did not always play along, but so what!!! Next year will be my 21st year at F18 if you will have us. Watering of the lawns at Santos before opening the park will be nice. Regards.



Attended the Mossjazz festival and loved the peace and quiet of the evenings festivities. The chalets are clean and well kept. Only thing I could fault is that the braai facilities are a bit far from the unit. Would definitely do it again.

The accommodation is basic but very adequate, with a well equipped kitchen. We appreciate their pensioners discount, and this enables us to have a lovely holiday which we would not otherwise be able to afford. The view over the sesa from the chalets is great and it is close to the beautiful Santos beach.

A pleasant relaxed holiday in beautiful surroundings

We recently stayed at De Bakke and I was pleasantly surprised with the overall cleanliness of the entire resort, the bathrooms were always clean with plenty of hot water. The grounds were also spotlessly clean and generally the resort is very well run. Security personnel were always in sight so you can be ensured of a trouble free stay.
I would just have liked a greater choice of camp sites and if Santos were opened as well it would allow for this. I had asked for a shaded site but did not receive such. February in Mossel Bay is pretty warm so I think it is necessary to have shaded sites.

De bakkes campsite.

The stay there at the caravan park was amazing. Such nice views and people were very friendly. One problem that we had,  the plot that we was standing on, is not level and rain was running throught the tent. The ablution blocks very nice, but would be appreciated if they could put something in the showers to stand on, because with the shower the floor is very wet. And dustbins at the plots,because there are none.  
Thank you De Bakke for the stay, will definitely be back next year, if it is God's will.

Excellent!

Had a great stay at De Bakke. Wonder full weather. Friendly people and staff. Camping site's needs a bit attention. Only complained is that you are required to book for 25 days. It would have been great if it could be reduced to 21 day's.

December Holiday

Good camping site, good value for money.  Big camping sites.  Make lots of friends.  Security was not that good this year.

Alida

The resort is situated  very close to the road. We constantly heard the cars passing by, especially at night time. There was also a gathering of motorcycles the weekend we were there. They made so much noise, again, especially at night, and I am sure many people were not happy about that.

Very good, but...

Very nice to hear the sea all the time. Braai can be closer to chalet or even better , each chalet have its own braai area. Bedding and towels to be replaced after 3 days, but overall very nice to stay there.
