We enjoyed every moment of our stay, with the friendliest service from JD. We had a great room service and breakfast in bed, which the presentation thereof was top class. Heerengracht will definately be our next destination given the opportunity again ... Thank you again!

the place is welcoming, warm and very homely. The service from the staff members was so good making us feeling like at home away from home. The water, lights, entertainment and the luxury beds were more than satisfactory and excellent to respective conditions.

Our rooms were clean and neat when we got there in the early hours of the morning in a town we have never been at, grouped according to the way we booked. Every utensil we asked for it was given to us without any additional charges or so many questions asked, it was like a home away from home, the rooms were nice and warm, nice entertainment area, pity we couldn't use it at night because it was very cold.

Excellent service

The AC in the bedroom did not work. The one in the kitchen-area was so noisy you could not sleep with it on. Since it was +40 outside it would have been nice to have AC. The bathtub was not fastened properly so it moved quite a lot when we tried to shower. I say try because the water pressure was very,very low. It took a long time to get wet. The bedside lamp looked beautiful but did not work so you had to get up to put the lights out. If you wanted to change channel on the TV you had to go to the reception and ask for help. No remotes - they say they get stolen. Go somewhere else. There are a lot of places to stay in Kimberley.

Booked in here through work for a two night stay, partly due to the unavailability of my preferred accommodation and partly due to the fact that they had working wireless in order to ensure I remained connected whilst traveling. They didn’t. And you get what you pay for, which isn’t much. The room was tiny, they didn’t have half the TV channels they claimed to have and the shower was awful. You either froze or were scalded, and they hadn’t even bothered to take the original price sticker off the glass of the shower door. Breakfast was pretty ordinary – nobody even bothers to check if you want eggs. And there was no butter for the toast laid out...it seems like if you don’t ask, you don’t get. Which is fair enough if I would like fresh Norwegian salmon for breakfast. But butter on my toast you would think would be standard fare. And noisy? Crikey! I heard every car going past throughout the night and into the morning. Which is a real pity as the bed was lovely and comfy. How it received a 3 star grading from the South African Tourism Grading Council is beyond me. “3 Stars: Very good quality in the overall standard of furnishings, service and guest care”. Dreadful – don’t bother.
