The people here are so warm and accommodating! They really care about making their guests feel at home. I stayed here for about three weeks total traveling alone for work, and they were so helpful and kind. It made what could have been a very isolating experience for me into something very positive!
This place is a great deal price-wise, too. Probably the cheapest I saw in Melville, which is a pretty safe area. I was able to walk around alone without issues, just be aware of your surroundings because some of the surrounding neighborhoods aren't super great. There's also the driver (Joe) who works with the guest house if you need to go farther. He's super nice and his prices are about the same as you'd get for Uber, etc. He also makes sure you're well taken care of and cares about your safety. He walked me into a transit station once because it wasn't safe for me to go in alone.
Rooms were clean, house was secure. I had expensive equipment with me for work, and I never felt nervous about leaving it there.

From the moment we arrived we felt very much at home, the heavenly hosts were extremely accommodating , our room was clean with soap and towels laid carefully out for us. 

The local advice and knowledge was invaluable and even though they were busy we were shown around the local high street which features an amazing vintage book shop, various bakeries and coffee shops and a wonderful plant nursery at the 27 Boxes Mall.

Highly recommended.

Lovely return visit with freshly prepared breakfast

This place is very nice if you are planning to stay in Jo’burg for a few days. The room had a nice balcony with a beautiful view over the city. Carl was very helpful and did all he could to make our stay more pleasurable. There’s a short walk to plenty of nice restaurants and I felt very safe there.

Lovely place in a cozy neighborhood

-welcoming hosts, who are very friendly

Lovely place

I fell very comfortable, with all the facilities and the nice owner and staff. 
There are plenty restaurants and bars around and you can walk safely at night. 
To get into town you can take a Zebra Cabs for 60 Rands or a share taxi for 8 Rands (not at night, you have to walk to the Campus Mall and wait till they are full)
