My room was on the ground floor and had access to the garden, where one could relax after a busy day.
Will definately be back when in East London

Beautiful authentic old home. Owner has tried to keep the beautiful features of the architectural period. Lovely owner and staff who went out of their way to assist, even making me a sandwich on arrival on my request. 


We loved and enjoyed our stay at the guesthouse. Staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We booked 3 rooms and all of them were very neat and tidy. Overall we did not have any complaints during our stay. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse

I really enjoyed the hospitality and service to make me feel at home. Room was very clean. It is also very central location wise. Breakfast was served on time. I felt very safe and at home. Will recommend it at any time.

My family was excited to spend the new year's weekend in east London as we were staying in a rural area just outside.The staff were fantastic and we felt safe and comfortable.Our only regret is the pool needed attention from the time we arrived and never got any up until we left. The pool was one of the draws and it was a bit too far gone for us to even clean with the basket ourselves (which we would have gladly done.)I loved though the space we had and the little braai area and kitchen. The breakfast was decent though maybe consider having a few more simple cereals, etc for picky kids.Thanks for having us.

The establishment was comfortable and met all my needs. Breakfast was great and the lady at reception who also made my breakfast was really friendly. Only down side was the wooden flooring which was a bit noisy when the people in the adjacent room walked around late at night or early morning but I understand the wooden flooring adds to the character of the house itself :-)  

This is a wonderful place to stay over, the place is clean and quiet, staff friendly and helpful, place welcoming, good food secured parking close to highway and CBD easy to find reasonable pricing and nice view.

The facilities are clean and good. The wooden floors are a bit noisy especially if you have the rooms at the front door where everyone comes in at night. Further to that a very nice place to overnight and the rooms are spacious.

Palm Tree Manor is a home from home.  The staff is very friendly and would go out of their way to accommodate you.  I stayed in Room 1 which is large and roomy.  The bed was extra large and bedding very good.  The wooden floor is a bit creaky, but that is to be expected of an older property. The room is next to the front door and it may become a bit noisy as people move in and out.  Breakfast was great.  I will surely visit again.

I have enjoyed my stay at Palm tree Manor, it's nice and quite.

I went out for dinner almost every night but did have dinner at the BB once.... I would recommend staying and have dinner. The breakfast is awesome and just enough.

The  only thing I would recommend is a jug with cold water in the rooms.
