Onze Rust Guest House and caravanpark

We recently stayed at Onze Rust and it was one of the nicest places I ever stayed. The people were friendly, everything was clean and serviced every day. The room was spacious with two double beds and one single bed. Also a little fridge and kettle. A little stoep where one can sit and even your very own braai if you want to braai some meat. The bathroom was well thought out and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Plus....biggest yay - the bathroom has a proper door!!! And all that for an exeptionally reasonable price. Thank you....I loved the place

This was our second time staying  in the caravan park and once again it was a good stop over.  Ablutions are good and clean.  Th security with an electric fence and electronic gate are good.  Good meal at Platterlander in town

My husband is on the road constantly and is constantly looking for affordable places to sleep over. Onze Rust has never disappointed him or shown him away. Onze Rust is an affordable Guest House as well as a Caravan Park with secure parking and a homely atmosphere. It can be recommended to any tired traveler. They do not hesitate to wait up late until their guests arrive safely, no matter what time of day or night it is. Three cheers for Onze  Rust Guest House and Caravan Park

This is the only Caravan/Campsite we could find in Colesberg. 
We arrived after dinner and checked in. Check in was quick and the owners are very friendly and helpful. We were the only campers but everything on the grounds looks very neat, clean and tidy. The campsite does have braai facilities, electricity and water.
We have our own bathroom so did not see the ablutions.

There are several types of accommodation available, depending on budget and your needs. Rooms were clean and exactly as promised, a good bonus. Shared ablutions are clean as well for those opting for that in their stay. Kitchen large enough for the purpose and well maintained. Friendly staff. Safe parking, camping and area.

I have stayed at Onze rust quite a few times over the years and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean and the beds comfy. They also have tv and good showers. Their caravan sites are great and they have rooms to suit most budgets.

A rustic little spot offering a clean room at budget rates. We had to use the ablution facilities at the campsite as the room was not en suite. Great overnight spot if all you need is a spot to lie your head

Can't say much, very easy going bungalow .
Enough and all you need for just a couple of hours sleep.

Clean and neat, plus coffee.
I was allowed to check in after midnight which was very appreciative

Quick over night on the way to JBay

We had booked to sleep over on the 29 September and after a long 9 odd hrs of travelling we arrived there tired and wanting to just relax. When Eugene came out to us and said he had no where for us to stay after confirming it all. He said we were to go to another place down the hill which was too terrible. They have no privacy. U open ur door and u on ur neighbours door too...anyway Eugene never apologised to me. We left seeing all the other rooms had no people staying there and can't help but wonder whether they only clean ur room if they know that one is going there that day....and also what was so difficult for Eugene to call us before we arrived (as he knew in the morning already) to say no space or go to this place....very disappointed and HV referred many people in the last 8 years as have my parents and my parent in law but won't definitely be referring again. However on our trip back we did stop over again but had a pleasant chap, Stephen, invite us and see to us and that we were comfy...he even gave us on his own the WiFi which made our girls delighted...we will attempt this next trip once more at Onze Rust and if we experience this treatment/service again we can move on as there seem to be plenty of accommodations in and around...

No place for us after we booked and no contact call on the day to say sorry we can't accommodate you...

We stayed in the budget room which states that its non smoking. Yet as soon as the door opened you could choke on the smell of smoke. The bedding all smelled like smoke and the winter blankets are in serious need of a wash. Overall it was it was a very long cold night.
