The Milner House Guesthouse

We booked the Milner house as a venue for a baptism. The venue was perfectly decorated and the food was tasty and well presented. The guesthouse is beautiful! Value for money! Suitable venue for smaller parties. 

From the onset, we were pleased with the prompt and efficient communication from Suretha.

The Milner house is easy to find once you leave the N1.  The reception areas are welcoming and the rooms are pleasant and comfortable.  The linen and bathrooms are neat and clean.  

Breakfast is good and the availability of snacks and beverages add to the welcoming atmosphere.  

The hostess is attentive and pleasant.  WiFi was good from our room.  All round Value for money!

Stayed here for a while a few days ago and found it too be comfortable and nice. The breakfast was okay and feel they should cater for people who do not eat beef and pork.

The rooms are nice and comfortable however the tvs are small. The b&b is a little noisy if you're in the rooms downstairs so a room upstairs would be better.

Overall a decent place for a few nights stay.

Very dissapointed. We had such poor waterpressure that we couldn’t shower properly for 2 days. Establishment lacking maintenance. This was not only limited to our room as we knew people in another room. Good reception. Good breakfast.

We booked the honeymoon suite for one night on our way to Knysna....the spa bath attracted us to have a special treat on our first night...what a disappointment to find  the spa bath not working properly, single ply toilet paper in the room, no water or facial tissues in the room, no bar fridge and the two basins are so high that my wife of 1.5m could not reach properly to use the basin. We ordered soft eggs and even that was not properly prepared to order by a lady in a very short dress trying to impress. We also requested some ice for the road and were given 6 cubes....Surely not value for R1400 per night!! We feel like requesting the diff in tarrif between a normal room and the honeymoon suite back as we were not offered anything more than what is offered in the other rooms which is almost half the tarrif we paid for the honeymoon suite
