We spent three nights at Cosmos and very much enjoyed the friendly and supportive atmosphere. We are still thankful for the uncomplicated move to a room in the garden (which definitely created some extra coordination efforts for the management)!! We also want to highlight the cleanliness of the rooms and the estate and, most important, the friendliness of the staff at all times. We liked the breakfast with a good choice of fruits, muesli, joghurt but also fresh made eggs etc,. The day we had an early pick-up in the morning we received breakfast boxes  with sandwiches, fruits, juices etc. - a really very good service! The dinner menue also provided a wide choice of dishes and we enjoyed both, food and atmosphere in the evenings. And also worth mentioning that our rental car received a car wash - much appreciated! Cosmos Cuisine is a nice spot close to the Addo Park, we´ld be happy to go there again at any time.

Friendly Guest House close to the Addo Elephant Park

The property is beautifully green. The guesthouse is located directly on a very busy street. If you have a room on the street, it can be very noisy at night. The reception was a bit of an habituation, as the kindness offered seemed only to be imposed. Everything inside the hotel, including the rooms, has significantly grown over the years. Everywhere there are some disruptive decorative elements without function (even in the rooms). The bathroom had a nostalgic character.

A shopping mall turned into a hotel

The staff is working hard, the kitchen is good, the breakfast is fine, but the condition of the rooms, bathrooms and other areas has been greatly reduced. Not recommended for younger people.

Not recommended as a romantic getaway

We visited the lodge on our rental car trip through South Africa. We were immediately impressed by the staff's warm and welcoming reception. Lovely decorated living room & restaurant. The rooms are totally romantic - we immediately felt comfortable and felt at home. No mass tourism! The food in the home restaurant was sensational. We even chose the 5-course menu with cheese plate...the madness of a successful safari.

Very nice lodge near the Addo NP.

The hotel is very nice and well maintained, the receptionist offered us something to drink as soon as they arrived and explained with so much kindness and patience the various possible activities to be carried out.I recommend having dinner inside the hotel because it is very good, also because there is nothing in the vicinity. If you have the opportunity to arrive at the hotel with cash, because often the pos for the credit card does not go due to lack of network.

RECOGNISED

A lovely colonial lodge, very spacious rooms, extremely friendly staff, and the dining room became an experience, thanks to the wonderful cuisine, and at absolutely affordable prices, it was a pleasure to be there.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful nothing was to much to ask for. They arranged a quad drive for us which was a great day out. The 3-course dinner was amazing, prepared with so much love and plated with attention to detail. And, they wash your car without you even requesting it!

Exceptional Hospitality and great food!

We were here for two days and we used the lodge to get to Addo National Park. I don't think the completely overused negative reviews are okay. If something doesn't suit you, you should talk to Karyn on the spot, and she'll definitely take care of it, and not only when you get back and then anonymously. We asked for a room in the garden, and we got this, so it was a little quieter and the street wasn't heard anymore. That was excellent and the service was just very attentive. We felt good here and didn't understand the negative reviews.

Nette Lodge on the edge of the Addo NP

What a great find this place was a brilliant experience. The staff were all very friendly and helpful nothing was to much to ask for. There arranged a safari for us which was a great day out.  We will definatly return.

The Real African Experience

Very beautiful in a tranquil setting. Exceptional service from all staff member, extremely caring and attentive. The 5-course dinner was amazing, prepared with so much love and plated with attention to detail. The room we stayed at was very big with high quality furniture, very spacey and lovely garden views. Amenities and complimentary items (juice of arrival, sherry in the room & fruits) are a top up on the already outstanding service.
Good parking facilities, valet service (yes they do wash your car without any hassle or even request; this means you will see your car shining like never before after check out). 
The garden is absolutely stunning and a place of pure peace and tranquility, having a walk through there is treating the soul more than any spa could ever. 
Thank you very much for an exceptional stay, authentic hospitality, a great meal and a service experience which is out of this world!
