Kelvin Grove Guest House

I found this gem when I received a voucher from a friend to stay here. I am amazed by the bad reviews they are receiving. It is rustic and 'basic' accommodation but that is made clear by the owners/website. The unit was spotlessly clean. The kids found the loft area interesting and they enjoyed having their own space while still close to us. The kitchen was clean and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. They came down to the unit to show us the cell phone charger and how the lights worked. The view of the river is stunning and having a braai in that fresh farm air was wonderful. The pool was sparking clean when we were there and they were even kind enough to charge my laptop in the office. All in all it was a nice break from the usual city spots and we spent many quality hours with the kids who usually just space out in front of the tv.
