Due to the whole world situation we decided to postpone our trip and nicely asked the owner if we could have a refund.
They flatly said "NO" and would even ignore our requests .
Their abruptness and rudeness has resulted in me losing over £250 and to say I am unhappy is an understatement .

Would never ever deal with this place again

Great place - excellent location with magnificent views into the national park. The team are extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

This is a very large wooden house with 3 guest rooms, two of which have an outdoor shower. The furnishing style corresponds to a wooden house. The plot around it is a dream (we have observed many animals and even found giraffes on our walks). We booked the 2-day package and had a great barbecue on the day of arrival where we could learn a lot about the land and people. The next day's pea rides were just great. This experience should not be missed!

Rustic but beautiful

The grounds of the property and spectacular! The outside garden is huge and full of animal life, very cool to walk or drive around.Our host, Moses, was absolutely great! He was very helpful and friendly and had a vast amount of information on the animals. He also cooked us a delicious meal!The views from our room were amazing!The only downside was the room noise, as the floorboards, doors and beds all creek quite loudly and also the walls are this so you can hear others.

We spent two days here in the Tranquilla Suite and booked the two-day package. In a huge park it offers three rooms/suites. We were alone there, which was very nice. When all the rooms were occupied, it was probably a little tight, so not a full score. We were well looked after and cooked by Moses. The whole safari (about 12 hours) in the morning at Addo, afternoon and evening at Schotia (with lunch and dinner) was sensational. We were lucky enough to spend both tours alone with the wonderful Sorita. We ranked as friends. Thank you for these unforgettable experiences.

Like in a treehouse

Very friendly staff and Giraffes! Property could do with a little maintenance and was very tired in places. Great spot for visiting Addo Elephant Park.

This property has made me very sceptical of Tripadvisor reviews.  
We were expecting the luxury the website and price promise.  Sadly, this property is far from luxurious and was the most inferior property we stayed in in South Africa, and we stayed at four other properties.  No other property claimed to be luxurious, but they were so much more comfortable than Addo Afrique.  Addo Afrique's website clearly misrepresents the reality of the property.

•	The chairs and tables on the veranda are very different to those in the picture on the website - uncomfortable, old and situated directly next to the room next door (without any privacy) and in the wind.
•	The balustrade around the veranda has not been maintained for many years and is dangerous.
•	Derelict constructions on the property are dangerous to humans and animals.
•	The property is situated between a noisy train line and busy road, where noise carries to the bedrooms.
•	The bathroom door kept falling off the runners.
•	The website refers to cocktails before dinner. Who will be serving cocktails? Moses could only offer us beer and wine and had no resources for cocktails. 
•	Water is not a luxury, but we had to purchase drinking water. 
•	Pillows and bed linen are basic and not luxury quality
•	We were unable to use the safe as another guest had taken the key. Another form of security should have been offered 
•	Please tell me what is luxurious about an outside shower in April?  An inside shower option should be offered.
•	Three giraffe, a kadu and two ostrich do not make a game reserve
•	Moses cooks very good homely food and is very attentive, but that does not equal luxury
Having stayed at four more properties in South Africa, it is very clear Addo Afrique is extremely inferior. We spent considerably more money per night at Addo Afrique than at any other property during our trip, so we were expecting the luxurious experience their website promises.  This was not the case. I have written to the owner, Bertie, pointing out these shortcomings and requesting a refund, which he refused.

Moses, who welcomed us and cooked our breakfast and dinner, is a gem and incredibly customer and service focussed. He gave us good advice to book the whole day trip to Schotia and Addo, in view of which we wonder why Addo Afrique even offer the half day, drive yourself options.

We paid an extra 1000ZAR for the full day option. If we'd known how poor Addo Afrique is compared to all other accommodation we stayed at in South Africa, we would have refused to pay this extra amount.

Very disappointing

Amazing stay! Mosus was great and provided incredible breakfast! Great value for money

This is a great place to stay when going for a safari in Addo National Park. 
The staff is extremel helpful and friendlz and verz professional. Thez reallz make zou feel like home. we styed at a suite in the lodge. The room was big, well maintained and very clean. The breakfst is very good and freshly prepared by Moses, who is a great host. Also Steven the security guard is a very nice man and he gives you advice if needed. The lodge  has only 3 rooms but also offers tipis nearby on the same estate. We had the luck to see the giraffes at the end of our stay and this was the perfect end to a wonderful stay. We would definitely come again.

Great place, great hospitality

We had booked this hotel to spend a day and night in the wild, in a quiet environment. What a disappointment!!! Negative points: hotel close to a road and railway, and above all the hotel would deserve a very good refreshment. Typical, but in poor condition: terrace, badly maintained swimming pool, uncleaned facilities, etc. No restaurant nearby (except for the barbecue offered in the evening), the nearest one is the Addo Park (15km) which is, to be honest, dirty. It is better to have a picnic.
