We arrived for a three night stay here at the beginning of October, and for what we needed it for, I certainly delivered. We had our own private room with a shared bathroom, which was kept clean and the communal areas seemed well kept. The staff were very friendly, even returning to the hostel at 11pm to allow us to check in (as our flight was late). If what you’re looking for is just a bed and bathroom that’s in close proximity to the main shops and restaurants, then this place is worth a stay. Would stay here again.

Did the trick - would recommend.

I stayed during corona times so there were hardly any people there but everyone was friendly. The staff were easygoing and reasonable about me checking out later and keeping bags in the room before leaving Ljubljana. The beds were standard hostel beds. Every bed is assigned a locker with a key at no extra charge which was handy. The other reviews make it sound like a hell hole and maybe it was but it seemed recently renovated and the bathrooms were okay. Mainly i thought the location was the best because its close to the main stretch of restaurants and bars but on its own little street of well priced places the locals favour. Would stay again x

Easygoing stay

Friendly personnel, directing to free parking. The double bed room on the roof was really small, but more importantly really noisy. We could hear every little noise from the cafe at the corner of the street. There may have been bed bugs. The location is great. Everything is in walking distance. For the low price, the room was okay: bed, mirror, table, lamp, plugs, rack.
All in all absolutely okay for one night, but not more.

Friendly but noisy

Worst hostel I've ever been to. It's basic, only a bed and toilet. Toilets are dirty, floors wet, no toilet paper.  ZERO security.  I got harassed by a non-guest while sitting on the couch in the common area, he came up to be and pulled out his penis, when I ran away he followed me.  The hostel is open to the public with no one stopping randoms from entering. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Absolute trash. Sexually harassed in living room but non-guest.

We were double booked and had to leave the hostel in the middle of the night. This might have been due to an occational mistake. But when we came back the next day to get our money back we only got 20 and not 70 as we paid. I will call this cheating and stealing. A bad experience in the otherwise wonderful city of Ljubljana.

Stay away!!

We emailed ahead to state our flight was delayed (about 6 hours before we were due to arrive) but received no response. 
We then arrived about 12:30pm to discover nobody at the reception as there is not 24hr reception. There was a number which we called, to be directed to our room, which was unlocked, by somebody over the phone. 
When we got to the room, it was not the room we had booked, which was a 'Deluxe Double Room' with queensize bed and private bathroom. 
What greeted us was a double mattress on two wooden pallets on the floor (Shabby chic? More like building site) and a light fitting hanging out of the ceiling.
The sink in the SHARED bathroom then exploded of its own accord and hot water spewed from this making an awful noise. I rang the 'reception' number again but was then hung up on by the person i had spoken to! We then could not sleep due to the horrendous noise the sink was making until randomly somebody came and fixed this around 4 30am. 
We then got around an hours broken sleep before the sun came up about 5 30am, the room also had no curtains so the sun blared through first thing. It was also nice to greet our neighbour opposite hanging out their washing in the morning whilst not dressed! 
I complained to the booking agent upon our return but the hostel denied that they had given us the wrong room and requested photographic evidence!? Not the first thing on my mind in a foreign country at 1am! 
Would totally avoid, there are some beautiful, lovely, friendly places to stay in Ljubljana,this isn't one of them.

Awful Experience - Awful Customer Service

We were supposed to stay at this place for 2 nights but after the arrival and very rude guidance to our "room" (my dorm in Austria is 5 star in comparison to that), which was the tiniest room with tons of pipes sticking out, dirty walls, switches without the cover, dirty bathroom, squeaky bed and literally paper walls through which you could hear your neighbour urinate. At some point it was so unbelievable that it made me laugh but I am glad we managed to find a different, spotless studio, even closer to the city centre and for the same money. Definitely do not recommend!

Absolute joke

The hostel is very close to the city center it is only about 5 minutes on foot !friendly staff! Reasonable prices!We booked a four-bed room but instead of this room they offered us a larger appartment at the same price, but it was very dirty, the floor has never been cleaned and there was mold on the walls that caused a very uncomfortable smell!

Please do not book this hostel unless you don’t mind sleeping in a dank basement with rubble outside the door and like weird smells and barely breathable air. I decided to leave the hostel after 30mins, which was handled fine except for the entourage of shady men that accompanied the owner and watched on as i told them i felt unsafe in the room. They offered to put us into a private room for an extra cost of €120, but that room was weird and overpriced. Do yourself a favour and book with hostel 24 instead.
