Very good B&B. Nice and clean modern rooms, free parking and 5 star service for the breakfast. More pleasant stay than in any local hotel. Good location just next to BCT City. Short drive from center of the Ljubljana.

I am staying in Stricek quite often, so I've tested almost all their rooms and my satisfaction is higher than in most of the 4-star hotels.
Small family business is doing their best to satisfy you and they are super kind.
Rooms are really well equipped (clean design, well furnished, great bathroom, comfy bed, TV with rewind function, great lights, working desk).
Breakfast offers a variety of food and it's slightly different every day, what I love the most. And there is still a possibility to order anything else at the chef. 
Parking available in under the roof or in the underground garage.
It's 35 mins walk to the city centre, or few bus stops. A huge shopping centre is few hundred meters far.

The only negative I found over time is, that iron and ironing board is not the best. And some people can miss receptionist available 24/7 in person. But they are on phone all the time.

Quality of service you don't see often

In Sept we stayed in the lovely five room B&B Stricek on the outskirts of Ljubljana. The accommodation was very comfortable, attractively furnished and modern, some rooms had a sitting room, all had quality shower bathrooms. Air conditioning and heating was controllable in each room. Kettles and a fridge with allocated shelf space for each room were available in the corridor, you could use this for drinks or for snacks. The property does provide underground parking which is useful in poor weather. We used the street level car park as the weather was mostly OK and the area is safe and secure.
The breakfasts were excellent and plentiful with cereals, fruit juices, a cold table of interesting cheeses, hams, breads and fruit, in addition local specialties were added each day, like local sausage or different porridges.  This was followed by the offer of freshly cooked omelettes or pancakes. One day there was freshly made plum juice which was excellent.
The owners were so friendly and helpful with advice regarding the weather forecasts and travel routes remembering the following day to enquire how our trips had been.  They spoke good English and couldn’t have been more helpful with advice on booking taxis and bus routes and supplying us with appropriate adapters when our own “international” versions didn’t work. 
Taxis into the city or to the airport are much cheaper if ordered through the B&B or by asking a bar or restaurant to call one. The cost to the city centre is €5 – 6. The bus is €1.20 and the stop is two minutes away from the B&B.
At one point our son mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary and complimentary glasses of Champagne arrived with breakfast!
The B&B is 5 – 10 minutes walk from an enormous shopping arcade, a variety of restaurants and a local produce market. Yes, there were even LIDL and ALDI shops. 
The restaurant at the B&B is open for lunch but closes at 6pm though the bar will stay open until about 8pm, however the B&B will recommend good local eateries or make suggestions for eating in the city.  Restaurants varied in price and were less expensive than in the UK, however they did not necessarily display any prices on the chalk boards outside which we have come to expect in other countries. The local food is delicious and varied with menus usually translated into English for visitors.  Our only surprise was the use of cannabis in one of the sauces!  This could have been a translation problem of course perhaps they meant coriander!
Ljubljana itself is a beautiful city and well worth time spent just wandering around.  We visited some of the other picturesque sites like the Predjama castle built in a cave, the stunning lakes in the Julian Alps and the pretty town of Piran on the Istrian coast.  All well worth the mornings drive.
We would recommend the B&B Stricek and the family and staff to anyone looking for accommodation near to a lovely city and easy access to motorways, but the memory which remains with us most is how kind, friendly and helpful the staff and family were to us.  They did everything possible to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable.  It is certainly an address we would visit again.

A very good B&B

Beautiful family owned small hotel, the bath room ,the room are so beautiful. I absolutely liked the color combination. 
The breakfast buffet was not too big but everything was so good and tasteful ! 
I will come back for sure!

What a gem!

This place is located about 2 easy bike miles from the city center.  Jan, the host, lent us bikes to ride. The rooms are a good size, including the bathroom. One thing of note is that your key card doubles as the card for electricity.
Breakfast was interesting  (in a good way). Lots of choices of local foods, fruits, a nice dining area inside  or out. Jan was very nice and so were the ladies that made breakfast. A comfortable and quiet place, close to the main attractions by bike or car.

Very nice, good location

Stayed here during a business trip to Ljubljana. Booking was easy and everything was in order by the time I arrived. The room was clean, with its own, fully-equipped bathroom. The city centre is easily reachable even by bus. The hotel has a restaurant as well, serving Slovene food and providing breakfast - both are great and the staff was very kind and helpful as well.
