I based myself here for one night while on a business trip in the area recently. I chose this establishment on price & location. It is situated in Zilina centre, just a few metres from the town square. It is a budget Penzion and the price is very good value in my opinion, for it's location. The room was spacious but furntiture & decor is very basic. Level of cleanliness was acceptable. Breakfast was included in the price & was cooked to order. Staff are polite & friendly. English language skills are basic but enough to manage any questions I had. Because of the central location, parking is very limited. They have a marked space somewhere in the back streets close to the hotel, but I could not find it. Other than that, I would have to conclude that the Penzion Vix met all my expectations. The price & location will be hard to beat.

Basic accommodation, good price, excellent location

Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a roof window directly over the double bed.
The bathroom was clean and full equipped with hair dryer, soap and towels.
There is no elevator and the rooms are situated on the second floor. 
The breakfast was tasty and fresh, you can choose from appr. 9 selections most of them with all types of eggs, the service was super friendly, helpful and competent. 

Accommodation in the city center

I would highly recommend this place. It is just right at the center of Zilina, very spacious rooms, good breakfast and very pleasant and helpful staff. Great value for the money as I paid only 39 EUR per night with breakfast included.

Very good central location, perfect value for the money

I stayed there for 3 nights, and i was really nice surprised in a positive way. Room was clean, spacious with sofa, air condition, comfortable bed, tv with wide range of channels and wifi was working properly. The breakfast were delicious, there was not buffet, but u can choose from 6 meals. The position is in centre of city which is great. The only negativ thing is that lets call it reception is in the casino which is located downstair of the building. So people who were there were looking at me when i came there with luggage to check in.

Suprised

Just off the main square, this pension is part of the Grand Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, the only window was in the ceiling but it did open. The staff were helpful. The parking was fine, although not secure. On Saturday night there was a very noisy wedding reception that went on until two o'clock on Sunday morning.
