Stayed here for 2 nights with the main reason being it was local to the ice hockey stadium and only a 20 minute or so walk to the old town 
We were happy that it was clean, dry and warm 
The breakfast was decent as well for the reasonable price of €5
I’ve read some reviews complaining about the decor but at the end of the day if you want Hilton standards then stay at the Hilton 
For the price we couldn’t knock it and would stay again 

It did the trick

I stayed in this hotel last week for five days. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we were giving fresh towels everyday and our  room was cleaned everyday, the room had a television and a fridge 
We  had breakfast one morning which cost €5 , the breakfast was a buffet of eggs , sausages , yoghurt, cheese,ham and cereals. 
When I later read the reviews for this hotel I wonder to myself what do people expect for €30 a night. 
If you want a place to stay close to the city and the  city transport system  this hotel is ideal if you want 5 star treatment the Radison is up the street but it does cost £176 per night   I have no problem recommending this hotel 

Really enjoyed our stay

The perfect base if you want somewhere to sleep. Just off the main bus 61 line from airport to train station, and easy to access the town from the location. Lots of shops and restaurants around. The hotel is very basic but quiet and clean. The rooms have a fridge, a modern TV with Eurosport (albeit in German) and great WIFI. No kettle or hairdryer but what do you expect for that price. The reception staff are very helpful, a bonus that they speak some English as I don’t speak Slovak. For our 5 nights stay the Towels and toiletries were changed daily, and bins emptied daily. Another bonus: the heating is excellent, the shower very powerful with lots of hot water. If you want more luxury pay twice as much elsewhere.... ps: when I left my key inside the room, and locked myself out, they helped out immediately and without making a fuss!

Lets start with positives, there is a carpark and it was cleaner then some B&B's in Lake district and Snowdonia. Otherwise it was stuck in time. No lift for disabled people, cigarette smoke in the staircase, doors repaired after someone kicked them on the room. no phones in the room, internet was not working nearly at all, bedding was fresh and clean, everything was wiped, however carpet seemed remember WW2, bathroom and toilet clean, however toilet brush was not clean, fridge inside was damaged and would not pass any Governmental Hygiene control, water pressure was good as well as hot water, moreover it seemed to me that the place was occupied by seasonal workers. I would not recommend you this hotel if you are looking for romantic place, but it is better then shared bathroom in hostel. Breakfast were like in Moscow 1982, I was scared to ask for coffee top up or more drinks.

One night stay

If you want to have a experience from the communist period this is the right place for that. The furniture is from that period, dirty walls and old and dirty carpets too. They made an effort only with the outside door and windows.

Treat yourself better, you deserve it.

Stuck in time

What was good: It was quiet.
What was bad:  At our arrival, the receptionist (who did not speak too much English) was too busy with some papers and we had to wait up to 6-8 minutes to interact with her. Furniture was too old. Remote control did not work. Too much money for a hostel in that location with their facilities.
