My wife and I stayed two nights before and another two nights after a trip on the Eastern and Oriental Express train. Both stays were excellent. The newly renovated hotel is a tropical oasis in busy Singapore. Our room faced the bay. The room was very quiet and all the facilities were in perfect working order. The aircon was silent but strong and kept the room at a constant temperature. Needless to say that the room set up was impeccable with all the usual MO trappings and a bottle of wine and small birthday cake. Thank you. The guest recognition from check in to check out was fantastic. Thodore and Margaret made the registration process very comfortable and it was rather like small talk at an ambassadorial cocktail reception than a hotel check in. One truly outstanding hotel ambassador is Melvin from bell service. His dedication and pride for this hotel shines through in everything he does and the way he explained the in room facilities was so much fun. He encouraged my wife to use the MO tote bag for shopping in a very cute way. We met him again at check out when he collected our luggage and facilited our departure from the hotel. The way the hotel personalises touch points like the hotel arrival by using our name gathered from the luggage tag or at breakfast when on the second day the preference for coffee or tea is already known shows the relentless quest for delighting customers. Our status of fan of MO was recognised at check in and at the spa where Rodel not only gave an excellent massage but also added a foot scrub at the end of the massage in recognition of our status. Breakfast in the coffee shop is a unique experience not only because of the delicious and diverse food options but also the dedicated and friendly staff. Chef Roy had so much fun preparing animal shaped pan cakes for the kids and the polite young man on cross training from The MO in Bangkok was ever ready with refills for coffee and tea. Emanuel in the Italian Restaurant looked after us very well for dinner. All in all, it was an excellent and memorable stay. We will definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
