The Bencoolen hotel on Hong Kong Street was perfect for our 4 night stay in Singapore. The hotel is in a great location for the MRT, China Town, boat and Clarke Quay. The breakfast was adequate and the staff very friendly. Rooms are quite small but you won't spend much time in them! We bought a 3 day tourist pass which was great for getting around to the botanic gardens, Chinese and Japanese gardens, Little India etc. We also made use of the Ofo bikes. Just download an app and you get unlimited rides for 7 days for 50 cents. We did need a sim card though as you need data to use them. This was only 15 Singapore dollars. We used the bikes to get around in many places and for getting and from MRT stations, would definitely recommend them. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others 😀
