This is a very nice ex colonialist architecture shared villa on the beach.

The 2 ladies worker there are very nice and they hold the villa very well.
AC, safe are provided in the room.

Well situated, not far from the airport and other convenients.

WiFi is very slow when working but that’s the same in the entire Island. 



Nice villa on the beach

This was our cheapest accomodation during our week, however it may have turned out to be the best!

The villa is lovely, rooms are clean and spacious. The beach is fantastic and directly in front, so we could snorkel at our own leisure. 

Only room for improvement would be the wifi, which is only ok in the common areas. 

Would come again!

Fantastic villa on a beach

That is a very good villa for staying, big and clean room, very tasty breakfast from Martha (her cheese omlette was incredible!), next to the ocean, the only disadvantage is the beach near the hotel - it has lot of algae, the ocean is always very shallow, no fish at all! That is not the beach for snorkeling at all and not for swimming either!!!
The bus stop is right near the hotel - you can take a bus and go 2 stops to the next Anse Royale beach, where still there are lot os algae, but you can swim at any time, independently of tides.
There is a very good mini-market Kumar&Kumar opposite the villa, which seems to be one of the best in Mahe.

Perfect guesthouse!

First of all the hotel is located by the main road which causes a lot of noises. Second of all the private beach is very small and everyone can get to the hotel, because the gate is non-stop open as well. The kitchen is dirty, on the oven there are loads of fat signs. The internet is slow as well. But the main disadvantage is the housekeeper. She keeps on going out of her room just to look at your hands whenever you open up the fridge! Thats terrifying. We chose this this place because of its close distance to the airport, but to be honest i wouldnt like to come here ever again. 

Mixed feelings

We stayed at this guesthouse for a total of 6 nights and it was great. We had the room with view onto the mountain, but could use part of the terrace with view on the sea. In our room we could hear the road, but we didn't find it very anoying. Martha, the good soul of the house is very nice and kind and will help you with advice. The breakfast is small but absolutely enough (because of the warm temperatures we were not that hungry anyway). You can choose between different kinds of egg based dishes (omlett, scrambeled etc.) which Matha will make for you, some toasts, jam, coffee or tee, and some fresh fruits ( really great). 
The beach in front of the house is nice and quiet and most of the time you are by yourself. The water is quit shallow so you can't really swimm but it is very nice to go in and just relax in the water. Some fellow guests in the Villa Dorado told us that a small shark can be seen at low tide if you turn right and go towards the steep rocks at the end of the bay. Unfortunatly we weren't lucky enough to see the shark. If you rather like to use a pool, it is also possible to use the pool of the Crown Beach Hotel which is 2 houses next to Villa Dorado.
 You can also go there to have lunch or dinner. The food is good but quit expensive. If you rather like to self-cater, there is a small shop nearby (2 minute walk, if you exit through the driveway, turn left and then in about 200m on the right side, Martha can also show you) which has some basic stuff, but as always on the seychelles, quite expensive. You can use the kitchen in the Villa Dorado for making yourself some small dishes (a soup, some nuddles...). 
Our room was quite big, with AC and a nice bathroom. Our room was also equipped with a small fridge were we keeped most of our food.
In total we had a great time at the Villa Dorado and would recommend it to everyone! A big thanks also to Martha for making our stay wonderful!
