La Digue Luxury Beach Bungalow Spa & Gym

The room and view livedup to expectations, they were both beautiful. I wouldn’t really call it a bungalow more like a small, kitchenless condo. It is definitely brand new and the 2 story “bungalow” we stayed in is the currently the only one, 2 or 3 more are still under construction. The view and access to what is basically a private beach with the few people walking by is perfect. However our stay did not get off on the right foot as it took us well over an hour tabs the help of numerous locals to find the place. Because it is so new most people had not heard of it which is not surprising since there is NO sign on the property with its name, we actually walked right by it. On a hot day in the midday sun dragging out heavy suitcases around needless to say we were not happy when we finally found it and realized it was only. 15 min walk from the ferry had we had proper directions. The mist disappointing tho was when we did finally reach the property and were being checked in instead of the owner/manager just acknowledging and apologizing she argued with us and made up excuses. We were allowed to stay in the room past checkout which redeemed the situation but fir a luxury place definitely need to step up their gane if they want to stay in business.
