Absolutely fabulous property. Cozy little place, tucked away in a stunning garden, providing privacy and tranquility. A few minutes walk from Anse Source d’Argent. We well extremely well taken care off by warm, friendly hosts Debbie and Sydney and their helpful and amicable team.

Cozy little haven on La Digue

We stayed one week at lovely Maison Charme De L'ile. The apartment was spacious, very clean and well equiped. There are four apartments and all seemed to be equally shaped and equiped. We did not use the pool as the beautiful La Digue beaches are nearby. Wifi worked fine such as the provided bicycles and the staff was very friendly and helpful in case of any needs. 
We've booked the breakfast most of the days as it is fairly priced and really delicious with lots of fresh fruits and eggs.
Don't forget to take a flashlight with you to find your way back in complete darkness :)
We had a wonderful time on La Digue island and definately recommend this guesthouse.

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful garden

We were very pleased with our room, it was attractive and the facilities were good. The setting is also lovely, in tropical gardens with a clean plunge pool. The only drawback was the air conditioning unit, which needs an upgrade. It is directly over the bed and is very noisy, with only one fan setting.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights at approx. 150 EUR/night booked through Booking.com.

Unfortunately, our experience started with a major service failure: There had been a lot of rain the days before our arrival, and the path leading to the accommodation was flooded at several points. We had walked from the jetty (not recommendable) with one large trolley each and found no way to reach the Maison without soaking ourselves and/or our luggage. We called ahead and asked for pickup, but our request was met with derision, and we were told to wade through. 

Now I don't expect a pickup from every accommodation, but certainly from any charging this kind of money. At the very least I expect an offer to get us a taxi. Anyway, we stopped a car passing us by and paid the driver to get us across. Needless to say, our mood had suffered a lot. 

Our departure, too, ended on a low note. With our ferry leaving at 7am we had arranged (and prepaid!) transfer to the jetty for 6:15am. At 6:25 still no pickup in sight, so I called the landlord. She sounded surprised, though more of our call than the transport's failure to show up. She then made assurances that it would appear any moment. It didn't, and we had to stop another car to get to the ferry. If we had missed it, we would have had to face serious problems giving our flight home at 10am the next day. Accordingly, this second service failure caused us a lot of anxiety, which offset a lot of the relaxation we had paid good money for. 

Thee lush garden, refreshing plunge pool and decent amenities just couldn't make up for our frankly unacceptable service experience. Even if they had, the place was definitely overpriced for what it was. Not too mention the mosquitos that kept us from using the terrace in the evening. 

In short, better give this one a miss!



Nice place, but terrible service & overpriced

The self catering villa was very beautifully done . Very close to Anse source d’argent). The staff & the owner both were helpful. It was cleaned daily. They have small pool outside very relaxing. Had So many fruits & flower around villas. & beautiful birds kept coming everyday. They provides us with bicycle to go around in very reasonable rates. Will totally recommend this place. ( especially for couples) . 

Perfect place to sta in Ladigue

Amazing little gem, not far from restaurants, supermarket, ATM and port. Bike necessary to visit the beaches. Rent from guys in harbor or from hotel (100R/6 EUR/day). Beautiful and large rooms with high standard, fan and AC. 
Nice garden and nice pool area. Only minus is for charging 10 EUR for internet for 2 days, should be included in room rate! 

Perfect apartment hotel

I had booked the transfer from the jetty and it took apx 10 min by golf cart to Maison and it was 150 scr. Jeanette met us at the gate and showed us our room and explained the necessary details. The internet was 3 EUR/ night and the bikes cost 100 scr per day. The bikes are new and very nice, MTB for men and a more ordinary bike for us women. 
Room: Large with a good AC. There is a safe and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom is large and they offered shampoo and body wash. Bring some salt, pepper and sugar from home if you plan to make some food. Wifi was very good and we called home with Skype. Everything was nice and clean. 
Outdoor: Nice little plunge pool with 2 sun beds. One patio on the back and one in the front. The place felt very safe and was quiet until about 7 in the morning. Just 4 rooms so you will not be bothered by the other guests. 
Jeanette made us dinner twice it was 400 scr/pax. We loved the food it was plenty and so convenient to stay at the patio and drink som beer or wine and not have to bother to go anywhere for dinner. If you walk it takes about 20 minutes to the Repair restaurant. The STC store is about 5 minutes from the property by bike.
We will come back to both La Digue and Maison.
