I rolled into Novi Sad in the middle of a dust and rain storm. By the time I walked to the hostel I had discovered a Synagogue in town. Hotel Frenky is tucked away down an alleyway, but it's easy to find.

The hostel in run by a lovely lady called Helelna. She did a really great job showing me around the place, chekcing me in and even excepting Serbian Dinars. Helena even kept my luggage safe as i went out to visit the Fortres..

I give Hostel Frenky TWO THUMBS UP

The hostel is situated in a pasaj next to the Synagogue, five minute walk to the central square of the old town.
The hostel is a sort of apartment divided in few rooms! All was clean and all the stuff worked well, wifi included and strong.
The owner is very responsive and provide good informations for the visit of NS.
Good price, so recommended for a stop-over in this wonderful city of Serbia

If you're looking for a clean and comfortable place close to everything you need, book this hostel! You will not regret it. It was the best hostel I stayed in while in Serbia. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

If you want to visit Novi Sad ( a lovely city BTW) and you need a clean and nice place to rest your bones, hostel Frenky might be the best choice. The place is clean and comfy and the people working there are friendly and really nice. If you are in luck, you will meet Marina, who is a wonderful person and a good host. She will help you and take care of you like you are one of her good friends even if you are just a stranger.

I've stayed at hostel Frenky twice in the last month now, once for EXIT music festival and now as I came back to visit some friends that I have made here. They're very accommodating and the rooms are nice, great value for money, highly recommend! 

The location was very close to old town (5 minutes).  It was a 30 minute easy walk (up the main street that dead ends into the train station 20-25 minutes and then one left turn and on that street 5-10 minutes).  There are also buses but we like to walk. The 6 bed dorm was very clean with crisp, clean sheets and towels.  The bathroom was clean and shower nice and hot.  The two sisters (staff) couldn't be any friendly.  Called to check on bus tickets for us, answered all kinds of questions, and even let us hang out in the dorm room after check out because we had a night bus.  The dorm was empty so we weren't bothering anyone but we were using their air conditioning and wi-fi so it costs them some money.  They even offered to let us take a shower if we wanted but we declined.    The six bed dorm did not have access to a kitchen or a common room.  They do have an office (reception) with a couple of chairs and a small table but it isn't a common room per say.  I believe some of the more expensive rooms do have a kitchen and common rooms.  So it is really like a hotel with dorm beds.  But it was super clean, comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly so it made up for it.
