Visit Novi Sad

Be aware of this hostel. Even for hostel standards is quite average. Also be careful as in some booking websites is not advertised as hostel, but more like B&B, family friendly etc. Also our room was advertised with private bathroom. The house has two shared bathrooms. If you plan to visit during summer there is no air condition and with temperatures usually over 30 it can become an issue. As in every hostel, it is as clean as its dirtiest guest, we had to face a lot even vomit. 
We had chosen this place due to limited availability in the city (it was a last minute booking) and we saw a lot of positive reviews, for how lovely this place is and for the owner that is ‘serbian hospitality at its best’.. If that is Serbian hospitality at its best, better stay away. He made me feel unwelcome from the first moment. If you’re a foreign tourist, you will be treated disrespectfully, be assured, also don’t expect him to talk to the female(s) of the group, in his mind conversation is just between men. This was my 6th visit to Novi Sad and far the worst. We just stayed there only a couple of nights (not even half of our original reservation) while looking for a different place, and when we found actual holidays started.
We had a room with 3 beds, with a small terrace, the smell of the room was a bit stale, most probably from the heat and previous guests. It is a bit far from the city centre, in a mostly residential area which makes it quiet (at least one good thing if you want a quiet place).
