I was the only guest when I visited in late October. Small hostel with a 4 bedder, a 3 bedder, a 2 bedder, a single, and a double. One shower/toilet and one toilet to share. Kitchen has washing machine, bench top cooker with one element, bench top oven, kettle, sink, and utensils. The location is ok, Nis is small and can be explored on foot.

Perfect location right in the center, nice owner,very comfortable beds, free towels, comfortable bath room, fast WiFi. I showed up at 02:30 am and the owner opened me after just a few minutes and everything was uncomplicated.

THE HOTEL = As you arrive a quaint terraced house in appearance greets you on approach with a single locked street door to the property. To check in you have to ring the door bell and wait for one of the family members who own and work there to let you in, but be a little patient whilst waiting for them to open the door. Once the door was opened we were greeted by a nice young lady (daughter of the owner) with very good spoken English. Check in was prompt and she automatically registered our passport details with the authorities for our stay. We had the double room with the double bed on the upper level which was cosy spacious and comfortable with a small security cabinet for your personal belongings and an air conditioning unit which was excellent for the Nis heat. Communal bathrooms were clean and the water for showering was nice and hot. The kitchen and appliances area and TV lounge were located on the lower level and again clean fully functional. The property is small but cosy with about five rooms in total. We stayed for two nights and besides ourselves there was only one other guest from Japan staying also so we basically had the whole hostel to ourselves which was great for us. Guests are given keys to the hostel entrance so come and go anytime you please. The hostel accepts cash only and their was no rush to pay so we payed the next day in Dinars. Checkout was simple with us just leaving all the keys on reception counter and going. The value of our stay was magnificent with the total cost of two adults for  two nights being just £35 (Euro 40) ($US 45).

LOCATION = Brilliant location by being in the very heart of the city and with 4 minute walk to shopping and main plaza, 7 minutes to the river and fortress and 10 minutes to the bus station. I felt safe walking around Nis day and night with no signs of antisocial behaviour anywhere. P.S. Opposite the hostel by about 30 meters is a wonderful craft brewpub which brews 1 draft beer on tap and a great range of quality Serbian ales in bottles and next to the pub is some excellent cheap food stalls serving hot delicious kebab burgers and salad.

FROM AIRPORT = Easy, on arrival just walk outside the foyer and directly to the right you will notice a bus stop and wait for the number 34A which is the only bus that serves the airport The fare is 60 dinar (£0.42p) (Euro 0.48) ($US 0.54) payable to the bus conductor who will come to you to collect it. The journey takes about 20 to 30 minutes to the centre and get off the bus at the stop when the bus crosses over the river Nisava, from there it is about 10 to 15 minute walk on Vozda Karadorda then turn right onto Војводе Вука and your there.

TIPS = The food stalls are great for a cheap meal of meat and salad for a traveller on a budget.

SUMMARY = I liked the Hostel and would certainly stay there again. 3 days is sufficient to explore Nis and its attractions. Nis is also a great gateway to enter Serbia from the south and has excellent cheap transport bus links to explore or continue to other parts of the country or nearby other countries so come and discover this little East meets West melting pot.

Three friends and I went to Nis for last NYE celebration and stayed over in this hostel. The owner was super friendly and the rooms and kitchen/bathrooms were very clean. The living room, however, is a bit small. The owner of the hostel was willing to help us finding our way in the city and brought us back to the airport. The hostel is not very crowded and located in the city center.

I just loved it! Stuff was so helpful and welcoming, there if you need anything and so friendly. Rooms are cosy and so cute! You can use living room and kitchen as well. I felt very comfortable in this hostel. Location is perfect, in the middle of the center, so everything is near! I highly suggest this hostel!!!:))
