We had a great weekend at Hotel Angella, everything was like we expected and even more: super clean, friendly staff, well-equiped rooma and proximity to all the important points at Kopaonik. The food is great especially the breakfast..

Hotel Angella = Excellent !!!

Fully and comfortably equipped private apartment (room 313 if I remember correctly) in hotel Angela. Located in the center of Kopaonik, not a single meter away from markets, restaurants, ski lifts etc. Nice thing is that I stayed in this room on a 3rd floor, enough far from clubs at the bottom of the hotel complex where it can be very noisy in night hours (people that stay in a first floor rooms tend to complain about noise).

Fully equipped apartmant

We have been coming to hotel Angela for the past 5 years . This year was a total disappointment .turns out the have portioned and sold the hotel to private individuals which means its every man for themselves.the reception staff are an independent unit not willing to assist or help as the rooms don’t belong to them anymore .they start you of with a list of things they won’t do for you . The individual owners don’t tell you what you are paying for. The reception just wants to charge you for absolutely everything including a drop off depot for you snowboards and skis.the room (we were given had mold on and smelled damp.When we tried to move to another room it was the same issues.when my wife tried speaking to the private owner , she was insulted and yelled at and called names.I have spent 80% of my life in hotels as I work for an airline and in all honesty, this was the worst experience.

Worst experience ever

This hotel has been renovated relatively recently. Rooms are ok, not too spacious, food is very good, service is ok. It is located in the centre of Kopaonik, just a few steps from the ski slopes. They have various options for kids, both kids club and ski school. It is a nice choice for a family ski vacation.

Nice hotel, practical with kids

We spent last two winter vacations at Kopaonik. Both times we stayed at the Angella hotel. It is close to the slopes, children friendly, has great variety of food. The first year we had a three bed room, which was very spacey and nice. This year we decided for the apartment with two rooms. We travel a lot and seldom have we experienced so children friendly staff. The only downside is that in the lobby of the hotel there is a smoking section. Depending on the number of people that smoke it can be stuffy. The hotel has its own ski storage easily accessible from the outside. Our experience is that rooms that are located towards the inner courtyard tend to be more quiet than the rooms towards the forest. There is a bar that sometimes plays loud music in the evenings.

Great destination for a family skiing trip

We, my wife and a 3-year-old kid, have stayed in this hotel for a ski trip in February of 2018 for 7 nights on HB base. Hotel is a maze with many stairs and corridors due to which one might get confused or frustrated (i.e. to get from a reception, which is on ground floor, to the ski room which is -1 one has to go to the 1st floor and then go 2 floors down). Hotel rooms are smaller in size and it seems they were designed by somebody who never skied. Rooms do not have balconies, however there are no areas where one could went or dry skiing garments in the room either with only a small towel drying rack in a bathroom. We had a problem with a hear dryer and a tea heater however both have been fixed after some time. Beds were comfortable however heating was too extensive and we had to open the window when we could, however it did become too warm during the night.

Dinner hall of the hotel is not large enough so if you are not early you might have to share the table or even wait for one. Food was good with a nice selection offered and very good deserts. Prices at the hotel for the beverages were very high and the same both in dinner hall, which is used only by hotel’s guests, and the bar next to the reception. 

We did not use SPA facilities, however while having a playing room for kids is great it would be also great to  have some more free areas where kids could be left to vent out some of their energy especially having in mind extremely cold weather which we experienced.  

Ski room is available and service provided was good. 

Reception personnel was polite however they did not have information relating to skiing and did on some occasions provide wrong info in relation to operational hours of ski lifts. 

Location of the hotel is its strongest point with its central location and close proximity to a ski slope no 2.

Having in mind amount paid and competition on this mountain as well as one in Borovets and Bansko I do not plan to return to this hotel since I have had pleasure of experiencing better skiing hotels for a lower price.
