This is an amazing Holiday Inn Express. It’s only a Holiday Inn Express, which is probably the least fancy of the IHG group. But in service and specially customer service from the front desk, it cannot be beaten. Arriving in a new city, I called the hotel three hours before my flight took off, asking for a transfer from airport to hotel, in a new city where I don’t speak the language. No problem, I was told! Within half an hour I got an email that it was all arranged. The front desk advised that I get a local SIM for my phone to call a taxi etc when I was in town. One of their most helpful staff walked across the road , in the middle of a drizzle, to make it happen! That, I told the gentleman, was beyond the call of duty. His name was Sergej Govorcin and I would have given him a medal! I hope his bosses at IHG reward him for truly being an asset. In fact, all the front desk staff were so willing and helpful. Nothing was too much for them and they appeared to be so happy to be helpful and cheerful. This was a far different experience for me, compared to IHG hotels in the UK who hardly ever go the extra mile! The room had a lovely bed , cosy and comfortable. Plenty of running hot water in the shower. Breakfast was ample. What more could one ask for! Holiday Inn Express Belgrade does bring great credit to the IHG group!
