Trip&Sleep Hostel

The location is the best in town! Just in front the fortless (The main attraction) and behind the pedestrial street with many bars and restaurants, 5 minutes walking to the boats nightclubs, the Hostel is perfect! The atmosphere is great with all the guest but the staff is the main differentiating of other Hostels, they are now a really good and close friends of me, they spend their free time after they're shift thanking us to many different and not know attractactions.


I was so pleasent surprised with this charming hostel. Very nice, clean and cozy.
Location is just perfect, right in the city centre and close to the riverside. Staff is super friendly. Definitely my recommendation for staying in Belgrade.

Best Hostel in Belgrade 

Perfect location

A great location and easy to find. Quiet. Some of the decoration and themes is very cute which you see in the website and review sites. However some things you find when you arrive... we booked a twin room bit were placed alone in a 6 bed dorm. Not terrible but we couldn't sit up in bed for example. Also dorm rooms can be separated only by a glass door... so lights on at night next door can be annoying as can noise from dorm neighbours. The common room and dining area is cute. Staff friendly. The patio is cute but could be better furnished... Also one day the cracked wall from tree roots will come down!! Bathrooms are basic... Some people may not appreciate how open they are. Overall it's ok but come with low expectations.

A very mixed experience

The good thing about this hostel is the location and the price. Really cheap and right next to the Belgrade fortress. 
On the other hand I was not at all satisfied with the conditions. Small bathrooms. Rooms seemed to be clean but on my bed there was a lot of dust. Also, the mattress was covered in plastic and it was really unconfortable since the sheets were coming off. The receptions wasn't very good at English, and I couldn't pay by card.

Trip& Sleep hostel is the worst hostel I've ever been to in the whole world. 
Firstly, they treat guests with disrespect, favoring money above guests respect and comfort. As a booking genius chose the 2hr checkin before the hostel 3pm so I can checkin and get my bed from 1pm but got a message that can keep my bags in a room then come back. This is what had been done when I arrived, so the 2hr before for checkin is fake by Trip&sleep worst hostel! I had 3 nights to stay, at checkin told the receptionist that just arrived from airport and have dollars not enough dinars to give them so if can wait for tomorrow to give you all the 3 nights cost, they said okay, despite I also offered to pay 700 dinars( around one night cost) as a deposit that was all I had in local currency, but they said okay later you pay. It finished there, but the day after I just woke up in early morning went down from rooms floor that is 2nd floor above reception, kitchen and living room that are all down in the basement!!, to eat my breakfast to get surprised by a woman who I saw the previous day looked to me the maid but discovered she's also a receptionist!!
She jumped to me approaching in a rude misbehaving way started saying you want to stay for free here, and that I must now pay the whole accommodation price or must leave now!!
Honestly, I was very shocked!! Barely opened my eyes, going to eat breakfast and I experience such an offence!! Told her why are you speaking to me like that, this is disrespect!! As if she's speaking to some homeless person! Told her first you must respect me and mind your words, I talked to the receptionists yesterday, they know I'll pay all cost today. She went crazy yelling threatening me that she'll call the boss to come deal with me!! Told her since you're bad acting like this, don't want to stay in this hostel anymore, will pay the night cost and leave. Instantly, walked all the way to the ATM and withdrew money(dinars) to pay the hostel.
When came back packed my bags, went down took my food from fridge, went to pay the woman, then saw the receptionists woman and man who I saw at checkin coming from behind and with them 2 men that appeared want to make a fight or atleast threaten me.

The checkin woman said in a rude offensive voice and attitude that I must pay for all 3 nights and leave because my booking was a non-refundable one.
Told her I did not leave on my choice but your hostel bad attitude lead me to leave and was going to extend a week more in your hostel if you did not act this rudely and badly for 5€(per night) from early morning the other woman created a problem for this small amount for no reason. I do not look like a person who'll not pay. If that woman approached me in a nice way speaking like human beings do could had understood her but she acted so badly and you're continuing oroving me right with your bad actions!! Told her briefly how much are the 3 nights in dinars, she told me an amount then gave me a less amount as receipt then when asked why she said euro is changing!! What a joke!! Actually fraud!! In seconds between asking and she electronically making the receipt it changed much!! Actually she didn't expect me asking for receipt. Thought I'll be afraid from these "men" she brought that one of them said he's her husband(right one in picture), who started speaking ignorantly saying you spoke badly to the woman in the morning, told him you have cameras bring the videos out and listen who acted and spoke badly..then he created a story that I also spoke bad to his "wife", despite she just arrived with him so when that happened!! He continued speaking nonsense like a small child!! creating stories and mixing it with whatever useless irrelevant unrealistic stuff. 
Told him firmly that you are obliged to respect me since I didn't disrespect you, he replied ignorantly that am threatening him!! Here we have different laws than where you are from, told him the truth is with me and am a fair person and human rights apply everywhere, call the police if you want. He continued with his ignorant behavior, didn't wanna to waste time on such people!!
Took the receipt and left seeing them following me to the outside as you see in picture.
Finally, I paid the 2 additional nights not because of these "called men" since I already decided to leave before that, will not make a fight for some euros!! that only low value people like trip&sleep worst hostel do!!
 Prefered to keep my dignity and later to reveal to all tripadvisor members and people reading here about my story and to stay away of trip&sleep worst hostel in Belgrade. Booked later in another hostel that is way better(at least they respect people and not treat them as if a product just after their money!!) than trip&sleep worst hostel that on a hostel level do not exceed the 4 from 10 points.
Other than the bad behavior of its owners.
Trip&sleep worst hostel is very bad in its organization of floor rooms lockers dirtiness and a lot of moisture everywhere. In details, the kitchen and living room or shared room smells so bad you can barely finish what you're doing and leave.. The kitchen so small can do nothing in except collect the few items founded and the fridge found in an empty room that also smells bad!! The rooms in second floor from basement level, so must go all the way down to eat and then up everytime!!, the room window do not close well, so wind hit inside(was raining at night), bugs on bed, lockers very small can barely fit one small bag so your other items must be kept unsafe on your bed. Moisture and bad smell in toilet and bathroom, unbreathable. This hostel is like a forgotten hostel, no maintainance no cleaning nothing!! Only the location is in city center but there are many hostels that are way better than this!!

Stay away of Trip&Sleep the worst hostel in Belgrade.
