Hotel Oplenac

Good location, within the historical Oplenac monument complex, and close to the city centre. My impression is that the hotel is classy, halls are decorated with large Karađorđević dinasty portraits. If they put thicker carpets in the hallways and stair, and maybe change the balustrade, it would look exclusive. Our room was large enough for the two of us, the bathroom was functional and clean. There is a spa center, consisting of a smallish swimming pool with hydro and aero massage, Turkish bath and Finnish sauna. The spa is clean and they provide you with the bathrobe and slippers for the duration of the stay and all the towels you need int the spa. The staff is kind and helpful. Regarding prices, I wouldn't call it a budget hotel, as it is claimed in the description. On the bad side, we stayed beginning of October, it was chilly and there was no heating. To be honest, it would be an exception for a hotel to have heating in this period. But they have rooms with A/C, so if you're staying in spring or autumn, do ask for one. The restaurant I cannot recommend. It is OK for breakfast. For the dinner, some barbecue was good, other stuff not too much. Squids were surprisingly good. Food-wise it would be better to try other restaurants in Topola or near, I can recommend the Vožd. Overall, I recommend this hotel, just ask for a room with A/C in spring or fall and eat elsewhere.
