The general calm, the professionalism of the service, the incredible location on the river make the Sindone hotel one of the very best hotels in the heart of the wonderful city of Saint-Louuis. The view from the rooms on the river, as well as from the rooftop are simply amazing. Highly recommended!

Good location on the waterfront. Easy to find, short walk to "centre" of Old Town/Island.
Front  rooms have windows to river , rear rooms overlook walkway around  small inner courtyard (like a Riad design) so privacy means closing curtains ,excluding all natural light .
Clean , seemingly well maintained ,spacious enough, spare blanket(, comfortable mattress, one (too) big  4'6"bed .Hot water. hand held showerhead. Good sockets.
Night noise:, constant thrum/whine of the aircon units located over the doors of the rooms ,and internal courtyard magnifies the noise. I did not use mine but had difficulty getting to sleep as everyone else seemed to put theirs on.
Stayed 3 nights as part of tour. Chose restaurant first night due to late arrival, few choices of small plates, rather overpriced. Situated opposite hotel overlooking water.
Breakfast mainly pastries (arranged four on one's individual plate) ,ubiquitous cheese triangles, chocolate spread. ,jam etc. Fresh bisap or baobab juice only nod to locality, otherwise food = French.  Coffee good. One day  fresh crepes served, but pre spread with Nutella!!!
Not just tourist hotel, rooms for business meetings also.

Clean, comfy rooms. Great shower with hot water. Strong WiFi. Good breakfast across the road on the riverfront.

This place is a really good option in St Louis. Lovely rooftop terrace with great views. 


A very comfortable room, with aircon, which overlooked a courtyard. When we were here the water was plentiful and hot. The breakfast of fruit juice, croissant, bread and pancake was fine. The restaurant, which overlooked the river was excellent. I can recommend the seafood marmite that was exceptional.

I took lunch there with my city guide Masse. The coctail - a Calperina- was excellent, and the lunch even better, far better for less money than the renowed Flamingo, and the place was calmer, and better refurbished...
The location on the Senegal River is very nice.

Great option 

Very nice lunch in their riverside restaurant 'Le Ponton"

The hotel is in a very good location along the river.  It is an easy walk around the island and only a short walk to the post office.  There are several good restaurants nearby, so you don't have to eat the hotel restaurant.  The restaurant's food is not great, the prices are relatively high and the service is abyssmal.  The rooms are large and the bathroom is clean.  The shower has very hot water which is difficult to regulate. The rooms have AC which is also difficult to regulate.  No matter what temperature I chose, it was very cold.  When off, it was very stuffy in the room.  There are no windows in the room except for the one that looks out onto the stairwell and the "courtyard." Laundry service was excellent.  The rooftop has a lovely place for a cocktail, but no bar available, unless you go across the street to the restaurant and purchase a beer to take upstairs. A good place to stay.

A good hotel, but restaurant needs a bit of attention

The hotel is located in the river front a short walk from the bridge which makes it easy to find. The rooms are clean and reasonably furnished but the beds are a little hard for my liking. The shower is hot and the Wi-Fi is not and miss. Our room was a little noisy as there is a fuse box buzzin in the corner and the walls are thin so you can here everyone coming and going. Breakfast was included and reasonable. The restaurant is a nice area to have dinner even if you're not staying in the hotel. Food is the stanard local fayre.
