Everything about my stay at La Madrague was perfect. The room was spacious, modern, comfortable and very clean, and the air conditioner worked beautifully. The staff was wonderful. Breakfast was served in the restaurant down below, on the pool and beach level of the hotel. Every night, after a busy day in the city, my traveling companion and I enjoyed a glass of wine by the pool in a lovely setting. The view from the beach  and the rear of the hotel is of nearby Ngor Island, which is easily accessible on one of the small boats that leave from the beach nearby.

An absolutely perfect stay

This hotel is one of the worst I have ever seen first able the pictures are contractual the rooms are terrible and not worth the price demanded nothing like the pictures showed on the profile will never book again do not trust some of the reviews just look at the pictures the only thing you will get is a skin allergy

Do not recommend

The restaurant and the place looked nice. we were seated by the pool and it was pretty cozy. I have ordered a lobster ravioli with spinach as a side but it wasn't available anymore due to a buffet dinner organized for a group of people. I asked for sauteed veggies as a side instead. the ravioli was awful, it came as Chinese dumplings filled with tiny pieces of lobster that was tasteless. The dessert was also disgusting as I had a banana mousse with bissap syrup and it was inedible. Not going back here again!

I didn't stay here but had dinner in the restaurant.. not so good!

Great location. Beautiful views from the hotel. The pool is a little old but not bad at all, and there is a small reserved area on the beach for guests of the hotel. This is the perfect place to stay when you want a little relaxation from the bustle of Dakar but don't want to be completely removed from the Senegelese experience. Security outside the hotel helps you feel safe and get cabs (which are always available). Convenient location to walk to restaurants or gas station. Staff is nice and accommodating -- held our bags for a few hours when we had a late night flight and helped us connect to Wifi (works well once you get on!). Airport shuttle is in a nice, air conditioned van and very convenient, just make sure to schedule it at least a day before.

Beautiful views, oasis from busy city

Rooms clean and air conditioned but pretty basic. No frills but adequate. Located out of the centre and nothing to visit other than the beach locally. Continental breakfast ok. Evening meals In the restaurant good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Ok for a short stay

This is far from being a luxury hotel and the Internet is unreliable but I really enjoyed my 10-day stay. The food is excellent and I just loved the open space around the swimming pool and next to the restaurant with the constant sound of the waves on the beach. Perfect location if you want to go surfing, or just lounge on the beach or by the pool.

Lovely to hear the waves

I stayed a week in one of the suite rooms looking at the ocean.  It was a super large room, but rather expensive compared to the amenities available in the room.  The breakfast is not included (in an already high price I paid for the room), and is available for 4500 CFA (almost 8 US dollars) for an average quality coffee, and some bread and croissant! The wifi is so poor, I felt my connection in eastern DRC was 10 times better!!! (Hope the irony is captured😀).  Otherwise, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beach is just gorgeous, my room was quiet. The location is also convenient to walk to some of the restaurants and patisserie in the vicinity.  I hope that they can resolve some of these issues, and it can be a great place to stay. 

Beautiful location, average satisfaction

Nice location, decent food, small rooms, over priced, no attention to detail. Cracked toilet seat. Had to ask for a spare roll of toilet paper. Door handle held in place with a nail that cut my finger. Despite promises to repair it, nothing happened. Poor WiFi... no, extremely poor WiFi. I had to ask them to reboot 2-3 times a day to get any upload connectivity at all. Download was <2mbps. Laundry service is 24 hours.

A bit meh

Stayed in the hotel for a couple of days for some business meetings. I was disappointed since the hotel lacked basic facilities. Room and furniture’s were old. It was noisy since it’s facing a popular beach. Limited food options and not 24 hrs room service. Looks more of a motel . Great view of the sea and more like a hippie hotel. 

Average hotel next to a popular beach 

Excellent security, wifi that seemed to function, clean grounds, a/c that works, nice views of a not-so-nice beach.  The breakfast  is good, especially the pastries and fruit.  Taxis are always available, too.  We enjoyed our stay and it was one of the better West African hotels in which we stayed during a three week trip.  Would recommend again.
