First of all, not many taxi drivers know how to get here. I was with a group and we called in advance to book rooms in the dormitory. We notified them in advance, but when we got there we still had to wait for them to change the sheets. The room was uncomfortably small, squeezing in 6 people. There was only one bathroom for all six of us and the shower was poor. We first had to ask the staff to fix it because it wasn't working when we arrived. There were also no mosquito nets provided...plenty of mosquitoes around as well as malaria. They advertised a restaurant on the premises, but it was closed. On the day of departure, we asked the staff to assist us with getting a fair price for a taxi to the airport or helping us to get one early in the morning. The staff member agreed to help us. When it was time to leave, he merely walked us out, not even to the main road. Very poor customer service and little, if any, amenities. With the dormitory lodging, you're only paying for a mattress, cold shower, and free wifi.

Affordable, but Uncomfortable

Its located around 15 minutes drive from the airport in a central neighborhood. There is only one staff member in the evenings and two during the morning (one cleaner, one receptionist/manager). There weren't many people around. I stayed in a six bed dorm but only two beds were occupied. There is a TV inside the room and the bathroom is attached. You can get food / breakfast if you order in advance (not included in room rent) however I suspect they bring it from the nearby restaurants. So, its more economical to go outside and eat. There are many restaurants and convenience stores around where you can cheap food. The main road is two minutes walk from where you can get bus and taxis. Please bring your own towel - as the hostel does not provide any. Also, no blankets were provided and it usually gets chilly in the evening. I used the airline blanked and a bed spread that I poached from an empty bed to keep myself warm during night. Internet worked fine except for one day when it went out for around 12 hours. Overall it was comfortable and because of its central location and cheap price definitely worth it.

Worth for its price..

Clean, modern and inexpensive hostel in a nice part of Dakar. 

Breakfast is included, and is made to order. There was a TV in our ensuite room. No frills like a pool, but comfortable stay with friendly, helpful staff.

Another year in Senegal and back to Kingz Plaza. Still a lovely clean quiet place, luxe and affordable. Everyone was very happy to see me, my mom and my little sister return to Kingz plaza. As usual, friendly and helpful staffs. I saw the tripadvisor stickers in one of their properties in Saly and decided to add my review here. Great.

Luxe and affordable

I stayed for like 5 days last week. I was stolen by hotel employee and the Gerent from the hotel -not sure if m whitman was her name because hotel staff refused to give it to me - , not only didnt come to meet me as she ha promise, but by telephone she said she couldnt do anything, in a very rude way.
Beside the hotel is locted in a quiet neighbourhood and the price coul be fine...
